At the bball game on Friday I noticed there was a part after a timeout where the clemson student section all had their cell phone lights on during a cheer. Theirs actually all blinked in unison as well, so I assumed it was something to do with the WiFi in the building controlling it or something, I have no clue honestly. So then the next day for the AU game, obviously our main student section all had their camera lights on going into the 4th quarter.

Is this a new millenial thing I've missed hearing about? How did this just randomly pop up?

We did the same thing at the Georgia Southern game last year. It was started by the student section, both times. So a fairly recent phenomena.

They did it last week when they ushered in the 4Q, too.

Our student section first did it last year for Georgia southern. I think they only do it for night games/dark outside. I like it, I didn't know other schools did it too.

Yup. It's basically a way to put on a light show with the audience.

We stole and perfected the idea after watching Auburn try and light up the 4th quarter of a noon game.

I have one on mine and I think they have several different apps but it puts out a bright light.

And it even shows up well in the daytime provided you are in a dark room. A light will perform well in any place where it is dark.

Finally, has anyone tried the iPhone laser? You could put on a hell of a light show with one of these. They are also good to have in dealing with opposing fans. LINK

If you have an iPhone, there's a light button on the main toolbar when you swipe up.
