we get thru Arkansas and Ole Miss, we could be 9-2 going into the Iron Bowl. That would be unreal based on where I thought we were heading after the Clemson game.

Very unlikely, but what if we beat Alabama and they beat A&M and there was a 3 way tie for 1st in the West? Who gets in since we all beat each other?

if there is a 3 way tie, i believe they go off of cross division opponent record. So since we have vandy and uga, that does not help up much since bama and aTm both have tennesse. but since bama played uk and aTm played usc, it will be close.

I could be wrong though, i know thats how it used to be done . it could just go off of CFP rankings.

Changed in 2014

Two-Team Tie
In the event two teams are tied for a division title, the following procedure will be used in the following order:
A. Head-to-head competition between the two tied teams;
B. Records of the tied teams within the division;
C. Head-to-head competition against the team within the division with the best overall (divisional and non-divisional) Conference record, and proceeding through the division (multiple ties within the division will be broken from first to last and a tie for first place will be broken before a tie for fourth place);
D. Overall record against non-divisional teams;
E. Combined record against all common non-divisional teams;
F. Record against the common non-divisional team with the best overall Conference record (divisional or non-divisional) and proceeding through other common non-divisional teams based on their order of finish within their division; and
G. Changed: Combined SEC record of the team’s cross-divisional opponents

Three-Team Tie (or more)
If three teams (or more) are tied for a division title, the following procedure will be used in the following order: (Note: If one of the procedures results in one team being eliminated and two remaining, the two-team tiebreaker procedure as stated in No. 1 above will be used):
A. Combined head-to-head record among the tied teams
B. Record of the tied teams within the division
C. Head-to-head competition against the team within the division with the best overall Conference record (divisional and non-divisional) and proceeding through the division (multiple ties within the division will be broken from first to last and a tie for first place will be broken before a tie for fourth place)
D. Overall Conference record against non-divisional teams
E. Combined record against all common non-divisional teams
F. Record against the common non-divisional team with the best overall Conference record (divisional and non-divisional) and proceeding through other common non-divisional teams based on their order of finish within their division; and
G. Changed: Combined SEC record of the team’s cross-divisional opponents

What we should hope for if we go into the IB at 9-2 is for 2 of the 3 out of OM, LSU and Bama to beat A&M.

If it goes to the cross divisional opponents' record we're screwed since they both played TN and we have UGA and Vandy.

thru Arkansas

I don't think Arky matches up against us well at all. Yes Allen can get on a roll some, but overall I think our Running game and White taking advantage of their LB's and safeties will win the offensive matchup.

Ole Miss

Their big receivers concern me, but they have no running game like Clemson. so I feel better about the game.

Man I am far from certain we will beat:

Arkansas
Ole Miss
Vandy
UGA

We need to play a complete game against a half decent opponent first. If we cruise against Arkansas, let's talk.

We match up well if the coaches keep their head out of their asses and don't go from triple wizard whirlybird to super conservative. Control the clock and eat them up with a true balanced offense and all of them are possible. Oh and everybody stay healthy.

the fact that you are starting to posi means Auburn has a real shot at running the table leading up to the Iron Bowl
