Good info, including detailed Google Map, at Eclipse 2017 site
First total eclipse to pass across the entire US in a century (according to website). Crosses Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, and S Carolina. It looks like it passes across both Columbias and Nashville, and looks like it just misses Knoxville.
I'll be in central Wyoming for this. Total eclipses are supposed to be pretty incredible if you are standing in the direct path.

That will be pretty cool.
I only recall one crossing the southeastern US in my lifetime. The annular eclipse on May 30, 1984. It was the last day of sixth grade, and our teacher took us out and let us watch it through pieces of cobalt glass.

They are indeed. I've experienced two complete eclipses and I have to say that it's humbling to watch the sun's light "go out."
There's a strange, shadowy light display on the ground (be in a park or open field for this effect) that's just mesmerizing. Birds go to roost and seem to be entirely confused.
Also, the "wedding ring" effect is special. However, the most impressive sight I've witnessed is a the sun's corona. Be sure to wear appropriate eye protection.
I plan to take my RV to Western Kentucky for the 2017 show.
