Offshoot Thread: National Championship dedications on campus

Most of the schools who have won national titles seem to have plaques or statues on campus commemorating them (ie. LSU's series of plaques in front of the stadium and Alabamas impressive collection of championship coaches). I'm not familiar with some of the others outside of those and Ole Miss's vaunted "Walk of Champions". My question is why do they seem to design them without expansion in mind? Alabama can easily add more to Nick Sabans statue but what happens when the next coach comes along? LSU has a similar issue where it can add SEC plaques. But it's National Championship plaques are arranged in such a way that they'd have to be completely torn up and re situated.
tl;dr
Most championship dedications on campus don't appear to be designed for expansion. Why?

Why do you care? Is this keeping you up at night?

That's literally something that could be said about almost any thread on this board. I care because I'm a fan, and it's the off season. But don't worry, Ole Miss's walk of champions isn't cramped at all, still has plenty of room when you guys decide to retroactively claim more national titles.

Alabama has plenty of space for more coaches statues.

The spot where Saban's statue is was already in place before he was even hired. It can be expanded on the opposite side for other coaches. The plaques for SEC and national titles can be expanded too. But likely have to be on the South Endzone. Running out out room on the Walk of Champions side.

These are what banners are for.

Because they are designed to be visually pleasing at the time of installation. I am sure all the plaques are designed to be removed easily to allow for new things to be added and to be able to keep even spaces to look good. They can always find new space for example LSU has that whole area outside of the westside the stadium to work with.

Pretty much what I figured. Although as a fan I think I would appreciate having open spaces that obviously show the intention of more championships down the line. There are ways this can be done that leave some voided space without it looking ugly. But you're right. The schools think about now and definitely assume, well if we win another one, we can always do a renovation.

What's hilarious is that when the walk was built in 2006, they thought they had left plenty of room for future growth... I don't think they anticipated winning 4 SEC and 4 National Titles in the next few years.

Wasn't the wall already built next to Coach Stalling's statue but just blank?
