Not sure what to do this year. Would love to travel to Atlanta and watch Kirby's career begin, but I just don't know if I can sacrifice the 14+ hours on the couch with this lineup:

7:30 - GA Tech v. BC
12:00 - OU v. HOU
12:00 - Mizzou @ WVU
3:30 - UCLA v. aTm
3:30 - LSU v. Wisky
5:30 - UGA v. UNC
8:00 - USC v. Bama
9:00 - Clemson @ AU

Sad that GT will draw more fans for a game in Ireland than Atlanta

We'll be in Atlanta August 30, for a football reunion with about a dozen couples. Some golf and dining and telling the same old stories we've been telling at games for 40+ years. Maybe a drink or two.
After the game we're off to Maine for some fly fishing and family time.

So far you're winning. Sounds like a good time.

Maybe I'm a sap but it's things like this that make football in the fall so damn special IMO. I'm not that old but there's a group I tailgate with every year and every.single.season the same stories get brought up each week and each week we all still laugh.

Definitely be tailgating as the sun rises near teh dome somemwhere. After the game probably head home and flip back and forth between the night games. Should be a great day.

My Sweethearts late father was a fishing and hunting guide in Maine. For our 5th anniversary together she gifted me a fly rod he made and a huge box of his hand tied flies. I've caught trout in North Georgia and North Carolina with it/them and now will go to her family camp (cabin on the lake)for two weeks.

Some of these guys I went to school with, and the others have been in our seating area for decades. We've gone to weddings and funerals of spouses and children and are just great friends. We get together the week of WLOCP and golf all week and watch the game on TV. We quit going to Jax after a few got robbed by thugs or assaulted by drunk Lizard fans. Don't need that anymore. Several of us take in a road game every year. Most of us already have reservations in South Bend.

I will be in Colorado at a Bud and Breakfast along with seven good friends that I've known for over 40 years. I'll be DVR'ing every game with WMC on my home computer and streaming all the games to Colorado with Plex Media Server. Go Dawgs. Go Mountaineers.

I got chill bumps just thinking about Opening Weekend.

to those going to Atlanta. Rep us good, and make us proud. I'm 30/70 on if i'm going or not. I just bought a new house and i'm leaning on parking my butt on the couch and taking it all in. I have tickets, but I think i'm going to give them to my good buddy so he can take his son to his first game.

I'll be in Atlanta for the game. Tailgating in one of the lots (either yellow or blue) for most of the day. Hoping to be able to find tv close by if someone in our group doesn't bring one. There's too much good football on that day.

Keeping it simple. Setting up the TV on the back deck with a large cooler of beer nearby. Fire up the weber grills to cook some butts along with stuff from the garden. Have a few friends over to eat some food and watch the game(s).
Probably let the birds have the field for opening day of dove season and then shoot on Sunday (If I have my dates right). Man I do enjoy that time of year.

I will be in ATL. One of my best friends has a parking spot at the dome so we'll be tailgating with a bunch of friends awaiting to watch the Kirby era get underway. Hopefully we will have a TV setup so we can watch some football during the day because it really is an awesome slate on opening weekend.
