I think you're right. GT in 08 is probably an unfair yet very real impact on his perception.

I think is lack of charisma is a big part of his perception as well. It's why he didn't make the pro bowl last year.

I tried to find a gif of it but with no luck.
One of the plays from JL I distinctly remember was I believe the 2000 game up there where we had a DL wrap him up and was dragging him to the ground and he flipped the ball backwards over his head to a receiver for a gain. Someone that massive, sometimes you can only shake your head if you've done everything you can and still can't stop them.
JL was a morbidly obese individual but the guy could sure play football.
