I know people want to question Kirby's ability to be a head coach, and that is cool. But what really gets me is that while Richt was here, he would usually have his 1-2 games a year where the team just shows up flat, or plays to the level of their competition (Vandy, GT, UF, etc). If Kirby can just fix these blunders, and have the team win the games they should, then I think we will be looking real good @ UGA.

Kirby will have the defense ready, and our offensive plays looked pretty good from what we saw at the Gday game. The ST will be a question again, but I think it gets fixed as well. I'm not too worried with how this upcoming season plays out, but I think we can win 9 games. I think in Eason's Jr year, the pressure will be starting to build on Kirby, but I think we start to take the next step as a program as well.

Everyone should put the shades on, as the future is gonna get a whole lot brighter.

Could not agree more. Everything that Kirby has been tested on somfar he's passed with flying colors. Putting together the staff that he did while still performing at Bama like he did was remarkable. Then salvaging and even improving on the recruiting class was a testament to his recruiting skills. Add a filled stadium for spring and I think you have all of the attributes that you want in a HC.

Kirby will take UGA to the next level.

To repeat what I said elsewhere. There are some already obvious differences in recruiting and coaching.

However, the really big difference is Kirby believes in game planning for each specific opponent. I believe Richt just did what we do no matter what. We were predictable. Kirby will study each opponent and be unpredictable while taking advantages of their weaknesses.

When UA beat UGA last year, Kirby said something to the effect of knowing exactly what we would do and just preventing it.

Plus I think Kirby being around these 1st rounders at Bama, will help him a bit more in recruiting as well. Not a knock on Richt, as he could recruit (for the most part not OL) pretty well.

I also think Kirby showing some emotion on the sideline will help pump the players up.
