Roc Thomas
2014: 2 fumbles both lost. 43 carries. That's a fumble every 21.5 carries.
Marshall had 153 carries with 3 fumbles (all lost). 51 carries for every fumble
Cameron Artis Payne had 303 carries with 2 fumbles (both lost). 151.5 carries for every fumble
2015: 1 fumble also lost. 43 carries again.
Barber had 238 carries with 3 fumbles (none lost). 79.3 carries per fumble
Robinson had 117 carries with one fumble (none lost)

Personally, I am more concerned with his spinning and not running north and south than the fumbling. I believe he can get that under control. But every time he gets close to being tackled, he thinks he is back in high school playing against scrubs.

fannin's sophomore year
238 yards rushing
231 receiving
Roc's sophomore year
261 rushing
203 receiving
Fannin's only good years were his freshman and senior year when he had about 450 rushing and <200 receiving
He was a very underwhelming regular contributor. Tough to say Roc has done much less

Mario Fannin was a great blocker, but ran so upright that i though he was going to get killed during his time at Auburn. Anyone remember the time the Arky defenders helmet got stuck in his facemask? LOL
Roc on the other hand, has played a few years now and has fumbled a couple of times. He hasnt made enough plays to counter the negative perception yet. This may be his year to change everyones view of him. We'll see

If I think back, I remember Mario contributing in some big games. SEC games. I remember plays against Alabama and Georgia specifically.
As for Roc, I cant remember anytime he contributed. I dont know where the stats were made but I bet most of Roc's stats were in trash games...
I have nothing against him but at this point, he has done nothing to be remembered for other than spinning and putting the ball on the turf at a very bad time.
I hope he ends up getting things straightened out but at this point, it does not look great.
Lets hope together

Mario Fannin could have been a name to put up there with the best Auburn has ever produced if he could have not fumbled. He was our only option in 2008 on offense. Roc Thomas has never even looked that great as far as I can tell. He had a good game against Bama in 2014, but he had a crucial fumble if I remember correctly.

I think we're overhyping Fannin a little bit in here. I was a fan his freshman year but I never thought of him as a potential all-time great Auburn RB like some of you seem to be implying.
He could've been pretty good but great? Idk.

Actually he was the 3rd option behind Ben Tate and Brad Lester, arguably the 4th option if you count Tristan Davis who was actually listed ahead of Fannin on the depth chart.... So yeeahh.... This is awkward

Fannin was a sculpted man.
He had good top end speed and decent hands as a receiver.
He had some bad fumbles, however, some of them were vicious hits right on the ball. He was a net positive in 2010 IMO.

I cringe everytime Roc spins
And I keep thinking someone's going to coach him out of that but alas...
