Just looking at their rosters.

A lot of this has compounded itself with the terrible offensive recruiting in the end of the Muschamp era and the terrible finish to the season in the last 3 games with Treon at QB.

But it is absolutely scary that those 3 teams top to bottom have way better rosters than we will in 2016.

Hell, even UGA has an argument.

I'm not doom and gloom on 2016 as I was after the Citrus Bowl, but still, McElwain will really prove how good of a coach he is next year. It has the potential for a 2013ish type season if things really don't pan out.

Ehh I don't know about tenn being "way better" I would disagree there but fsu and lsu are just barely a step down from Bama they are extremely talented might be a long time til we catch them

And our offensive personnel is way ahead of where it has been since 09. It all boils down to QB play. If it's decent, UF will win 9-10 next yr.

After reading an article about Mark Campbell I am fairly confident that we have found our power running back to help us gain yardage and also maybe explode through the line. Its a shame he is JUCO and will only have 2 yrs....but this guy is built like a brick shithouse. Think he will be starting real soon.

UT does NOT have better overall personnel than us. I could see an argument for UGA & the girls school....but even LSU is only superior at a few positions and overall Id say we are even. Dont sell us short.

As said...if QB play improves and this kid has the kind of 1400-1500 yds rushing he is capable of...look out. We will turn the tables here in Fla. recruiting. Between Appleby and Del Rio we have a chance.

Huh?
UT has us beat at almost every position save for OL, DB and maybe WR.
Dobbs
Hurd
Barnett
Phillips
Tuttle
JRM
Kamara
Kirkland
Berry
Preston Williams
Etc.

If butch could coach UT will be back this year. They have talent all over the field.
UGA is pretty equal. LSU and FSU have us beat at every position.

Tuttle came on a little later in the year and when UTs schedule was weak...Dobbs has colorblindness, Barnett is good but hasnt wowed in big games, Hurd is upright runner and goes down too easy, Kamara is better.

Maybe you dont realize who WE have? Caleb Brantley is a beast and is now another year older and wiser, Holley is now ready to show who he is...one of the most sought after DTs as a recruit, Taven Bryan is gonna bring it this year and if not injured late in the year would have been a budding star, Khairi Clark had bad bowl game but was out of place and has snap experience to build on, Bryan Cox and Joey Ivie will be able to stop passing game along Justus Reed & Jordan Sherit...who was injured a lot. UT doesnt have anyone with CeCe Jeffersons or Jalen Tabors skillset, ditto Quincy Wilson & Marcus Maye. LBs? Anzalone and Jarrad Davis along with Rolin will be ok in my book along with newbie frosh. Punter is all SEC type.

Offensively we have two OL who were AA recruits in Sharpe and Ivy, Fred Johnson was a steal as a three star recruit, Dillard, Jordan along with second teamers from last year or newcomers will make OL a strength this year.
Del Rio or Appleby will be used to manage offense and the run game will be much better with Campbell I think. Callaway will make UTs DBs nervous and will have better help this year. Fast Eddie will make 50 yarders and all is well.

The grasser isnt greener over there...but they have the manure.

On paper, Tennessee has surpassed UF when it comes to blue chip players (4 or 5 star or higher). That's just a fact.

Whether they end up being better, it's hard to say...

Let me say this though:

That weak Tennessee team you underestimate put up 254 rushing yards on Florida, at home. The most by any team all year long.

They had a 13 point lead in the 4th quarter in the swamp before blowing the game.

And that was when Florida had Grier. Had the two teams played later in the year Tennessee would have beat the ever living shite out of Florida.

LSU and FSU are clearly more talented at this point. CLEARLY.

Georgia is also more talented on paper, but it rarely seems to matter in that rivalry.

Yes...UT ran the ball on us...a lot of it from Dobbs...but couldnt throw. The only stat that counts is the scoreboard. Could UT beat us in Knoxvegas this year? Yeah...streaks end sooner or later and on the road...its tough...but we are inside their heads.

UGA? Two game streak and maybe 3 coming up. The girls school is the elephant in the room. I hate seeing them get talent that waste it against ACC schedule...again...we have the ability to beat them...their QB situation isnt rosey right now. Maguire is average. We just need QB ourselves....remember it was a 13-2 game until late when defense finally tired...the score doesnt show how well our our defense played for 3 qtrs and Leon Treon was just not serviceable.

LSU was not that great against us until we just couldnt more out of Treon...but even he lit up their secondary early on. Not scared of them in Gainesville.

We will see what we have come spring game. All eyes on QBs.

If we even get an average QB, we could have beaten LSU at home.

If we luck out and get someone good to great, we're back in the thick of it.

Grier played like shite that game except the last two drives (and really it was only one good play in the last drive). If you think Tenn just blew it, then Grier wasn't exceptional at all.

Disagree.

The first 4th Q TD drive was more impressive to me than the 4th and 14 throw..

Grier played like a freshman in that game. Almost exactly as I had anticipated before the season started.

He manufactured just a RIDICULOUS 4th quarter drive, where he made a TON of big plays. Just a TON.

The 4th and 14 he had no pressure, his guy was wide open, he did just what QBs do.

He had a shite game outside of a few minutes, and Tennessee honestly just blew it.
