I've attended Alabama and UF from the SEC for different degrees.

UF
What are your thoughts on them? Do you ever root for them or don't really care either way.

I'm from Florida and most everyone in my family is a Gator (or a Hurricanes fan) so I'm ambivalent. In general I want them to do well. I only attended UF for about a year and a half while getting my Masters.

Lots of Bama fans realize that Auburn University is a far superior institution to the University of Alabama and go to Auburn. Sadly, they have too much Bammer in them and Katherine Webb back to Tuscaloser.

I'm one. Born in Mississippi but grew up an LSU fan. LSU was the team that made me fall in love with college football.
Originally went to MC for football but hated everything about the place so I transferred to State. I cheer for State in all they do (except vs LSU), but LSU will always be my #1 team.
Is your name Reed Storey?

Have a similar situation. Grew up in the Houston area and majority of my family is Texas A&M alum. Chose to go to Arkansas. I still want the Aggies to do well but they are behind Arkansas and its not close.

Undergrad at long-departed SEC school, Sewanee. Some grad work at LSU. Ole Miss fan since boyhood.

Some folks can't afford out of state tuition so they stay close to home.
I had a friend that wanted to come to LSU but one of his parents were very ill so he stayed close to home to be with them
That is understandable but where did he leave and how did he become a LSU fan?

Well, I have a special problem. Vandy is a bit harder to get into (and more expensive) than most other SEC schools. I just couldn't swing it. One last-minute decision to visit Auburn before putting in my applications later, I ended up finding a shade of orange I'm proud to wear.
Vandy is still my #1, but I root for Auburn in everything else. Although, I'm not sure how close I was to losing my AU board access after wearing Vandy gear to the 2013 and 2014 Vandy games at Auburn.

How did you become a Vandy fan? Family?
