Since Joel Hunt went to Wyoming in 1939.

He is the first head coach to take ANY football coaching job after his tenure since Johnny Griffith in 1963 when he went to Tech

Chip, you can have this one. You owe me a fufer at the Oddessey.

That's a little misleading IMO (regarding hunt, not the other parts).

Richt was fired, he didn't leave UGA to take another job. So our run of not being left for greener pastures continues.

So what you're saying is UGA is a destination job.

Got it

I don't know if I'm just going full retard here, so blast me if I am, but what does "sitting head coach" mean?

Georgia has hired one coach who was a sitting head coach

And compare it to Bama's record of hiring HC's.Just about every one of their successful coaches had prior HC experience.

A head coach currently employed at another school.

If we got Dabo from Clemson, we would have gotten a "sitting head coach".

We hire a lot of coordinators, basically.
