Pretty much any company can start a bowl game if they want

Kentucky will be one of the 5-7 teams bowling and for that I apologize. 6-6 was a bad enough metric for eligibility. Wish we wouldn't accept a bid but I know we will. Ugh. Mediocrity reigns.

Money.. Do you think these sponsors and networks are just going to let them go unfilled?
Unless you're in the playoffs, the bowl games are just a means to get extra practice, nothing more.
