I suspect LSU's SEC west foes are giddy that Miles was retained for at least one more year... which I suspect for half the division translates into a guaranteed win and at worst a 50-50 shot for the other half, but curious if any SEC fans are willing to go on the record to offer their opinion.

Not really. He's done pretty well against us.

Yes, but not for the reasons you suspect. Les is a good coach, and you should be proud to have him.

I wanted yall to fire him and then make a really shitty hire ... Jimbo has no interest in leaving Tallahassee to be the HC in the murder capital of Louisiana... Yall would've been stuck with someone like Larry Fedora and it wouldve been hilarious.. So no, I'm not giddy about the decision to retain him but I have thoroughly enjoyed the shite show that your athletics administration has put on these past 2+ weeks.

I'm very happy Les survived that shite show. Can't believe it's going to be easy to get a quality coach when the time does come for him to leave. Who would want to coach there after the way he was left twisting in the wind.

The whole thing was a like a reverse Saban to Texas melt and it was glorious.

Very glad hes staying. Usually the only reason i watched media days was to see him and Spurrier. With Spurrier gone and there was possibility of Les too, nobody would watch media days.

Yes. This is because a hire would have gone 1 of 2 ways. Either LSU would have a coach who utilized the talent LSU has and LSU would be harder to beat or LSU would hire a complete frickup who weakens the program to the point that beating LSU loses value. I want someone who can keep LSU as a power program we can consistently beat and Les is the guy.

Not a west fan but UF does play LSU next year and are fitting them for a star QB recruit. I think Miles staying one more year is great for everyone else. It should help everyone recruiting against him , kinda reminds me of Muschamp after his 3rd year at UF . Everyone knew he would be gone the next year if he didn't have a great year. In cases like then the team should fire the coach or back him publicly and change his contact so they can't fire him for atleast 3 years. If not your just going to hurt 2 recruiting classes. It's not like they have a QB on the team now that could fix the problem . They are going to rely on Harris or a true freshmen to make the team better next year
