Not sure how many folks listen to the Dawgnation podcast but Shockley brought up an interesting point that I hadn't seen discussed here. When asked about what he sees different between the UGA teams he played on and the ones we've fielded the last couple of years, his immediate response was a lack of leadership and pride in being a Bulldog. He also remarked that the kids we're bringing in are being recruited so heavily that they feel they're entitled to wins, playtime, etc.

I think that's about the best explanation I've heard for many of our woes. From our inability to hunker down in tough games to not meeting expectations throughout the last few seasons, a lot can be explained if the above is true.

That's not to say there isn't plenty of other things going wrong this year *cough* play calling *cough* Since you can't finish a post this week without taking a shot at CMR, I'd also point out that it indicates a failure on our coaching staff's part to instill esprit de corps and valuing pure talent over teamwork. Not that talent doesn't matter but I think we can safely say we've had plenty of players who might not have been first round draft picks but were still DGDs.
