players from Fayetteville High School. They all fail once they get to campus.
Brandon Allen
A Allen
O'Grady
Greenlaw
Ellis
Gorton
Thurman
and fatass Dean from a couple of years ago.
Overrated hippy city boys, I say.
Need to start signing the studs from Central and South Arkansas

I wouldn't add Greenlaw to that list, he's a true freshman playing really well just made one mistake.

Time will tell, not sure if he is SEC caliber, probably more of a Sunbelt star.

Not really, show me a winner

Well for sure don't look in the mirror.

Greenlaw and O'Grady shouldn't be on this list. They're both true freshmen, and Greenlaw has looked good in spots.

Greenlaw will be a player for us one day.
He just needs time to mature.

Fair enough, for now. Fayetteville kids normally never pan out.

I remember when he was a 4 star WR and the first commit of his class and thinking "hmm, he looks kind of chubby." Then he didn't make it to campus as a freshmen straight out of HS and was (I believe) re-rated as a TE, and I remember getting crucified on Hogville for relaying concerns about his weight gain. By the time he washed out, he looked like an O-lineman.

I'm not sure you can really discount Austin Allen yet, either, despite the fact that everyone seems to consider him and BA a package deal. I also think that Brooks Ellis will pan out fine as linebacker in the long run but is suffering from a general depletion of the position, exaggerating his weaknesses by forcing him to overcompensate and play out of his comfort zone.
I will say that the program at FHS doesn't really fall in line with producing "uncommon" men who hold themselves accountable on and off the field. That being said, some of the guys on your list are complete workhorses who bust their tails on and off the field. Some of the ones on your list are lazy prima donnas whose high school coach did them no favors as far as developing their character.
Not going to say who falls into which category.

Can't believe you forgot Colby Berna and Brignoni.
However Damani Carter looks promising as a walk on.
Not sure how Chris Jones hasn't gotten much of a chance (yes I know he's from Dequeen but Carter got game snaps over him)
I think this Eli Hale kid may walk on. He's intriguing w/ his size.
But for the most part the 7A West is a Trojan horse of sorts.

Ha, washed out almost immediately, errrrr.... injuries
Posted on 9/28/15 at 12:15 pm to Pigfeet
Brignoni had a nagging injury for most of his career. Everyone was pretty much aware of it but hoped he might be able to overcome it... but he got his scholarship as a "package" deal. Those guys had been friends and played together since grade school and were recruited as a group. They weren't going to pull Brignoni's scholarship just because he might have an injury and risk souring the deal with the other two.
Probably not the smartest move in the world from an administrative/coaching standpoint, but it didn't happen under our current coach.

Should have been more clear on that statement.
If there is a 3 or 2 star from Central/Southern Arkansas, and a 3/4 star from Fayetteville High, choose South of Fayettenam.
