I actually have a little more faith now that Orth will be starting at QB. Besides one fatal play, he played pretty well. 7-5, 8-4 type year.

Not sure how you can say "LSU is real" after a game that they would have lost if state had a kicker.

71 yards passing in SEC games is far from "real"

but still have a lot of work to do. QB play was mediocre at best.

LSU and Georgia assessments are goofy as shite. Neither were impressive at all.

At this point bama and tamu are the only teams I would feel comfortable putting money on in a real game.

Eh, that's a stretch. My assessment for LSU would be that they can compete with anyone in the league

I have an honest question here- how many teams would be able to go in and win that game?
Remember, you have to consider LSU was playing it's first game of the season, on the road on national TV, against a decent team that had already played a game, with probably the best QB in the conference. And even watching on TV, those cowbells were damn noisy and distracting.

Sure, LSU sputtered and misfired some, and that will be cleaned up. I think they did well, all things considered. And I seriously doubt we see any more "71 yards" type of games from Harris, it wasn't like he was lost out there. We just rode Fournette to settle in our QB.

Yet MSU was 5 yards short of beating LSU.
