Side note...that WKU TE was a straight up baw and he kicked some arse.

You say:

McCreary is a gamer but cannot throw accurately or past 10-12 yds.

quote:

WRs for Vandy are God awful.

Maybe this is the reason the offensive coordinator called the game like he did? You are calling for him to open it up / throw more passes, but are also saying the QB can't throw and the WRs suck.

Vandy should go as much spread option as possible. Like I said, they've got a top 3 SEC running back. McCrary is a quick-footed quarterback. Let him throw from that too (like Nick Marshall in the game tieing TD against Alabama in '13).

That WR/TE guy should be tarred and feathered as well.

Laugh all you want, but Vanderbilt's running back is top 3 in the SEC (behind Fournette and Chubb).

If anybody really watched that game closely..it is easy to see what Im trying to get across...its football # 101 and when a team has 8-9 men stacked near the line of scrimmage...I dont care if you had Herschel circa 1981 in the backfield...you arent going to run well. VU needed to throw on first down...even though qb is mediocre...he has better chance on first down than 3rd and long. He was limping in 4th qt from all the hits trying to throw on 3rd and longs. Again...OC had horrible night and if he continues the same gameplan, McCreary will never last the season.

You throw some on first down and then the opponent will back off with stacked line and THEN your runs become more successful. Webb never had much of a chance. No matter what the final stats were...the VU defense played very well and most of the yardage WKU picked up was in 4th qt.

Franklin and the rape trial left vandy football in shambles.

The conventional wisdom when going for it on 4th and goal from 18 inches away is that, if you don't make it, at least you have your opponent backed up. Vandy not only didn't score...they also found a way to give WKU the ball on the 20.

Yup. Brandon Vandenburg will haunt this university and football program for decades to come. How different the football program might be today if he hadn't set foot on campus.

Lol, that would mean he's better than two from Chubb, Fournette, Hurd, and Henry. I don't think so.
