Was Sanders a GTG recruit? I thought Pruitt offered him late.

I'd give Zo to Pruitt as well.

He's been here one year. So your point is grown men are starting compared to the 18 year olds Pruitt has recruited?

I don't have a point.

But it does make me wonder.

If our defense doesn't live up to the hype for whatever reason, and finishes in the middle of the pack statistically, will it be because of Grantham's players?

But if the defense is #1, does it matter that most to all of the players are Grantham's?

Of course not, it matters that they're being competently coached.

If it was all about the players, why did grantham produce the worst defense in school history? Because it's not all about the players, it's about coaching. If we have a #1 ranked defense this year, it doesn't matter if we got the players from mars...it will 100% be because of pruitt.

What Pruitt did last year with basically a skeleton crew on D already cemented in my mind that we have a hell of a coach for D. It will only get better as he gets the kids he recruited into the system.

It's college football....this will of course be the excuse...when talking to fans of other teams and to the Disney Dawgs alike

No, it will be that Pruitt is amazing. Again, it's how fans talk about college football.

I thought I remembered Zo inferring that if CTG was still the DC, he'd be at LSU right now.

I don't care whose players they are, but I think a lot of people overrate UGA defensive personnel just because UGA's defensive players are usually very talented, especially the upperclassmen. I don't think that's the case right now, and it certainly wasn't the case last year. UGA's defense was shockingly average athletically compared to where it should be.

I think a bunch of newcomers will contribute this year.

As long as Pruitt is the one coaching them I don't give a shite.

I will say that Grantham could at least get one thing right - OLB recruiting.

Wonder how Pruitt will do going forward.
