He never asked for his release, so we couldn't recruit him.

His only option outside of Florida was Memphis had he asked for a release.

Whitt was rated higher by the staff, the staff got who they wanted between the two.

the REAL problem is that our classes are so staggered.

The classes under Mike have been solid, solid enough to be successful with upperclassmen leadership and experience, as we've seen.

The balance of scholarships for the classes has been a problem since Heath's jumbo class he left behind. Pel of course turned the roster over ever year and left Mike with another large class of what turned out to be busts to go along with a small roster of sub power 5 conference talent.

Obvious answer was to flip the roster again like Mike did his first couple seasons at Mizzou, but wait, there's more, APR sanctions meant Mike had to not only sign talent, but sign talent that would graduate (more so important because of the classes of subpar single year scores he inherited).

The APR situation is now corrected, graduation rates are pretty impressive compared to past BB teams on the hill, but you have the 2016/2017 class problem, meaning there are some big fish on the hook room has to be available for them, you don't want to load up a roster with guys at the same position, etc. Like it or not at some point the classes on the roster needed to be balanced, that year is now.

Arkansas will have a solid roster next season, despite what the chicken littles say. Mike is getting the combo guards in place that he succeeds with.

Not true, Kansas and Kentucky both said they would be in on him among others.

Yeah, the coaches who took Mick and Archie were both foaming at the mouth to get the next great bust out of Arkansas...

I think Babb already transferred.

Thompson might be available next year though.

And his name is not Mick, if that's who you're talking about.
