well this sucks. next year is going to be interesting, hopefully not in the way i fear it's going to be.

Notice I said "in the stretch". Happened with Izundu too.
And now we're having to grasp at straws with these JUCO players that not many want, so we're their best option. Sorry if it smells funny to me.

We will see once the season starts. Life would be a lot easier with some impact players but you never know how they will pan out.

I'm a huge Mike fan, and I'm confident he'll get the guys he needs to run his system, but the recruiting results are beginning to concern me.

have been pretty.. not unbelievable but solid
the REAL problem is that our classes are so staggered. Qualls leaving really really hurts, even more than portis. we don't have a 3. And we couldn't take a 3 becuase we HAD to take some real guards.
Best case would have been qualls come back for a senior and bring in a high impact SF type guy but that was a long shot anyway
I have no problem with recruiting per say. Plus it's gotten better every year

Yeah I mean the fact of the matter is we took Whitt, who is ranked almost exactly the same as Allen, at the same position.
A position in which Malik Monk plays, how badly do you really want to take 3 high level SG's? Someone was going to have to not start, and it definitely wouldn't be Monk and I don't think Allen would be okay with being on the second team.
You've still got 2 more years of Hannahs and Watkins there too. I don't know that having half of your scholarships allotted to SG's is a great recipe for success.

get this through your heads. monk is probably 75% to the hogs as of now if i had to guess. you add Allen and whitt along with hannah you got 4 people playing the same position, it would have been like 15%

It would be like taking Jonathan Williams at RB, who make no mistake I love to death, when he's a senior and you have Darren McFadden as a junior, then getting pissy becuase you didn't get williams
