The poor Dog fans have rolled over and died. They won't even fight back.

They have less fight left in them than a pizza delivered to Wes Ray in the dugout between innings.

Swing and a miss. Just like our entire roster.

I'm really surprised State is struggling as much as they are. They are 2 years removed from the NC series and could potentially miss out on a trip to Hoover.

UCLA won the national title in 2013 and missed the tournament completey in 2014, but they have rebounded to be one of the top teams in the country again this year. I understand down years occasionally, but I don't understand why Cohen hasn't had that type of success at a tradition-rich baseball school like State.

It hasn't been easy. State very easily could have won Game 1, and came back and put up a great fight late into last night's game.
This is still the SEC. State is State. They won't give up, they are a proud program. Cohen is a good coach. Anyone else would be frustrated too.

I have a feeling they will roll over today. End the suffering and try to find some solutions for next year. Won't even make Hoover.

Historically, Cohen has been a pretty good coach, but he's the biggest reason for this year's failure. He bought in to small ball, recruited those type guys, only to have it blow up in his face once the new ball was introduced. Now he looks like a damn fool. But, even a fool knows you have to have power guys to get you out of jams from time to time. This baffles me.

Accepting that MLB's draft may have an effect, what are the prospects for next year's team: players leaving, signees enrolling, etc?
