Wait, did he tear someone else's ACL before going to class, or did someone with a torn ACL want to go to his class?

This may be an unpopular opinion but I wish that before athletes could be eligible to play professional sports, they should have to have some type of degree from college.

A lot of jobs require a bachelors degree. Of course it will never happen but IMO it could go a little ways in bettering their careers.

ETA: what a lot of them need is to take many hours of money management classes. Not necessarily how to invest but to teach them that the money they make in that short time is suppose to last them their lifetime. Too many are going broke the dumbest shite.

Love Poythress. Also, the "Poythress the type of dude" Twitter account was (is? I haven't seen it lately) hilarious.

so a 3 to 4 year unpaid internship so middle-age men living vicariously through young men can be entertained?

Unpaid? Wish I could have gone to college on a scholarship athlete's "unpaid" tuition. An education is far more valuable than any amount of money. Most will disagree, however.

If you believe this then I suggest you seek a refund on your own education.

Why?

Because they're student-athletes. Not athlete-students.

Why should they go to class at all if they're just going to leave in a year or two?
