Really hoping to make it out to SC in a couple of years btw. Have family on my wife's side in Charleston I still have yet to meet.

Charleston is an absolutely gorgeous city. Cobblestone roads downtown, rainbow row at the battery, Mt. Pleasant, Angel Oak at Edisto Beach on the way to Charleston. Lots to see and do, and the ppl are extremely friendly. I'm really hoping to make it to Texas next year for the game. Really depends on what the word out of summer practice is regarding the status of the team. I just can't see traveling all the way to Texas to have our asses handed to us again.

People who go to see JO are gullible, not bad people. Being a Christian doesn't mean you can't be fooled.

As for the other elements, the tide is (thankfully) starting to turn in many circles. You can believe something to be a sin without having negative interactions with others and ceasing to treat them as dignified people.

Yeah possibly but I just don't think I'll ever view homosexuality as a sin. I might be wrong, but I just don't think that's healthy way to view someone.

That element, and the science stuff, I just don't think I'll ever resolve. I love the idea of divine forgiveness, and accountability for your actions to your community(something the Protestants don't like because of the clergy) but the fundamental doctrine I just don't think I'll ever agree with. Who knows. Prodigal son and all that. Maybe I'll change.

There's lots of stuff that's can be considered sins. Many of which I do, because I'm a sinner first and foremost, unfortunately

Deeming something a sin doesn't mean you treat the person engaging in said behavior any differently, though, and there's the rub.

I can't wait to visit! Will definitely let you know if/when I head out that way

Hell, I'm scared of the opposite happening, tbh

I guess. I just don't think innate sexual attraction to a gender is one of them. That's like being right handed or left handed, imo.

If I ever trick some female in to having my children, and I view my children behaving in a shitty way, I'll love them just as much, but I'll try and alter their behavior. Some of that might be sinful behavior. While "treating them any differently" doesn't mean I loathe them, as that is most likely impossible, I will address their behavior as wrong and help them avoid that. If they are lying, stealing, cheating, etc... I think I would address it. The gay thing, would be super uncomfortable, but I wouldn't treat it the same.

I won't disagree. Mainly because there's far more important shite to be worried about, IMO.

I guess my point is that Christians should treat those who are perceived as sinning with respect, regardless of the sin. Of course when it comes to child-rearing, that'd be a pretty big social issue to navigate whether you're a believer or not

Overindulgence in alcohol is just as much of a sin as homosexuality when it comes to the Bible--it's disingenuous to treat one issue as more deserving of a shite fit than the other, IMO.

ETA: In a weird way, I think we're kind of agreeing, my n*gga. Just coming at it from two different directions

Because they invariably end in disaster. Even prayer can't help the fools, dupes and crooks in the halls of power.

That FFR group doesn't watch c-span, just like no-one else does so they probably didn't notice and really those idiots need as much higher power as they can get,

I'm open for them to start praying to other gods/idols if they think that will help.
