My hats off to the La Tech players and coaches.

We have better athletes. Bray's punt return and scramble jump ball along with Duke's catch were 3 plays where the SEC athlete was just bigger, stronger, and faster than the La Tech man.

But La Tech was not busting coverages and gaps were contained by their defense.

La Tech did a good job putting safeties over Duke and/or Sammie. Their DBs stayed in coverage when NM pressed the edge and did not give up the easy TD toss (aka, the Sammie TD versus Bama or Seahawk NFL play)

On offense, their QB was shorter than most so tipped balls were an issue. He could get it out quick and his WRs caught most of his good passes.

Gus made a good play call on the Bray TD right before the half.

Does anyone know any Oklahoma fans and have gotten his/her take away from when they played LA Tech? Do you think they have them as much as a headache they gave us?

They lack talent, but their effort was good.

Their guys are just smaller, slower, weaker.

I thought they played about as well as the talent differential allowed.

No amount of spinning will make our OL performance acceptable.

Why can't our secondary cover a single white receiver? That's 2 games in a row that we've been torched by a slow white kid.

Nope. We should have road graded them all day.

Agree. The line got whipped by smaller, slower guys.

I was attempting to give La Tech some credit for effort and execution.

Averaged 10 yards a catch (season low) and no TDs.
