I'll give you this, I think if State can win a couple more key in-conference games, and he plays well in those games, there's no reason why he shouldn't be in the conversation at least. Now, let's see if that happens.

Next two home games give him a chance.If Dak plays great in both and State can split then he is in the conversation.

If MSU can go 10-2 and Dak keeps this up, he could very well pull it off. The problem will be beating teams that can match them offensively, which LSU had no shot at.

numbers are helpful, but don't tell the complete story like who did they play in those games.
