Ticket Prices going up....

quote:

The UGA Athletic Association’s board of directors voted this afternoon to raise the price of tickets to home games in Sanford Stadium from the current $40 to $45 next year and to $50 in 2017.

In addition, the board voted to raise the price of tickets to the Georgia-Florida football game in Jacksonville beginning next year. Regular tickets to the Georgia-Florida game will increase from $60 to $70, and club seats will rise from $100 to $110.
The meeting is still in progress.

Why will it cost $400,000 to research a location?

Location and Design.

Design comes with consequences and risks, architects and engineers.

$400k seems a little cheap, actually.

Our tickets still seem to be a good bit cheaper than our competition.

That's good stuff.

Paul Johnson and Will Muschamp are both on hot seats, in the coming years those programs could both be really tough opponents. Same for Tennessee.

If Georgia Tech gets back to being a regular Top 25 again, do we really want to add another one to our schedule?

We really only play 3 cupcakes as it is, because of Tech.

Everyone else in the SEC plays 4.

I'm fine with playing 2 cupcakes and having Tech plus 1 Clemson/ND/etc.

I'm not sure about having Tech + Two PowerCon OOC opponents.

Unless there was a real legit playoff with 16 teams so you could actually have 2, maybe 3 losses and still have a shot, those 2 or 3 losses having come from a legitimately difficult and exciting schedule, and not necessarily being penalized for it.

AND OF COURSE THE tv payout makes it good bidness for the money changers.

What TV payout? We make the same amount of TV money with or without playing Oklahoma.

4 in the east have this situation.

Georgia vs Georgia Tech
Florida vs Florida State
South Carolina vs Clemson
Kentucky vs Louisville

Not to mention every team is now required to play 1 P5 team...although, apparently, Wake Forest and Kansas have been fielding a shite ton of calls.
