I have two children on the Autism spectrum. Currently live up in Michigan in the Detroit metro area. We are looking to move away from this hell hole.

While looking around online, I saw a few jobs in the Auburn area that would fit me very well. However, what I need to know is if there are good special education/autism programs in that area for grade school aged children. That is the most important thing for us presently, and it's the only thing that has kept us here this long.

Thanks

I cant tell you specifically on the special ed, but the schools are good. Captain Brannigan, I believe, works in the Auburn school district

The SE programs at the university are top quality so I would imagine that the community is well served in that regard. Good luck with your move and career.

The Auburn University Speech Language Pathology department will provide tons of support and therapy for your children. I could not imagine a better place to move.

That would be very nice considering our oldest is non-verbal, and the younger is a little behind where he should be but picking up quickly.
