Storey saves hogs bacon

I recall us discussing this a while back, kid in high school being said to be the savior of the program before he ever steps foot on campus, the hype didn't work out for Peavey so it has moved on to the next guy.

"Is Ty Storey the real deal?

I covered Barry Lunney Jr. at Fort Smith Southside and Matt Jones at Fort Smith Northside, and they went on to pretty good Razorbacks careers.

All I can say is Storey blows them away.

Yes, I think Ty Storey is the real deal."

That is fine and all, but why not mention how long it took Lunney to reach the field or Jones or the fact that their staffs both wanted to move them to different positions.

Instead, lets set the bar as high as possible before he plays his senior year...

Hog Blog is turrible.

ETA: I do think Storey will be a stud in time, but saying he'll save the program as a true freshman, jumping over 3 talented QBs ahead of him for the job is pretty asinine.

First time I've read anything there, this article keeps popping up in my news feed on facebook from friends sharing it.

I'm not arguing this shite on facebook, with them.

Here are my favorite 2 paragraphs.

I’m not a stat guy myself, but I’ll give you this one. The Tigers went on the road against Harding Academy, which had a 25-game winning streak. To Harding’s credit, it was one of the only teams that challenged Storey to beat the defense with the deep ball.

Result: Storey threw for 588 yards and seven touchdowns.

Question for anyone who knows anything -- is Storey a solid commit? I ask simply because of the fact that Peavey is on campus and because we're a ball control offense now.

He committed this time last year.

He has had an offer from Gus since the 8th grade.

He also has an offer from Sumlin.

I have an feeling he is/would be open to listening to other schools. Would not shock me at all if he ended up somewhere else.

I think they have a fb page and you can share stories from their site to fb.

The first time it popped up was from his cousin, but that was the day it was written, it has been steadily shared by other friends since then on my feed, after the 10th person I finally clicked on it.

Not what I've heard, but I'm not too worried about it.

From what I've heard, going somewhere else to be "the star" isn't as appealing as having an opportunity to "be a Razorback".

I wouldn't trust your feelings. He seems to be all Hog from what I have gathered.

What I've heard as well.

I also heard he is likely to take OVs to several schools for the free trips and experience of it all.
