In their prime, both were excellent. Lee was incredibly fast, Norris was extremely strong with perfect technique. One had a great roundhouse, the other had the prettiest spin kick I've ever seen. However, in his youth, Norris practically owned the tournaments. This gave him more experience against a wider variety of fighters.

Chuck Norris in his prime was 3 inches taller and 20 pounds heavier. I think it'd be hard for Lee to overcome that.

Also, Bruce Lee's dead so handicap Chuck.

But Lee invented Jeet Kune Do, which is fricking lethal. Survival at all costs.. Breaking kneecaps, gouging eyes, crushing trachea etc.

His speed combined with that style is damn near unfair. RIP Chuck.

It's amazing to think that the cat in that video is most likely dead.

In their prime, we will never know. In reality -

Norris > Lee

Chuck is still alive and kicking

You know, I've heard of this a lot and have had "Krav Maga" guys come to the gym a while back and watched JKD dudes get nice and trampled, too.

I always tell people to only *rely* on in practice. You can theoretically tell someone how to stab someone, but splitting the rib is a whole different ballgame.

A lot of times our instructor would ask us: If you woke up in a room with another individual and the two of you only had your hands to use, how comfortable are you that you would be able to kill him?

Breaking kneecaps, gouging eyes, grabbing the testicles, etc. etc., doesn't work and if it did, Krav Maga and JKD guys would have dominated the Gracies in the first few UFCs. (The makers of the tournament specifically asked these "street lethal" styles to come and gouge eyes."

Anyway, just thought I'd make an addendum having heard that said over and over again and not seen anything productive come from it.

I'll take Bruce's speed and power over Norris' strength and height.

Neither one could hold a candle to Reggie Hammond. His quart of blood technique was lights out, game over for who ever got in his way.
