Chick fil a bowl is a way better bowl than the Capital one, Outback or Cotton. I would want CFA over those in a heartbeat.

No lie. As far as fan experience and atmosphere, CFA is just under BCS games. The Florida bowls suck and the Cotton has gotten better since moving to JerryWorld.

Yep. Whatever LSU fans may say, the CFA is a really good bowl and is about to get more high profile. My only problem with the CFA is A) familiarity and B) ACC matchups. CFA does much better than most in setting matchups, but you see a ton of Clemson in that game.
Right now, from a fan/football perspective (not a hierarchy perspective) I'd rank them:
Cotton
CFA
Florida bowls
Music City
In truth, there are times with the Music City bowl is better.
The Florida games are just sort of boring, in mediocre locations, and with too much mediocre Big 10 action. If we could get a Pac 12/Big 12 team in the Cap One, that game would instantly be much, much better.

Last SEC East team to go to the Cotton Bowl was Tennessee in the 2004-2005 season.
There's been some talk from Carolina reporters that the Cotton would take a hard look at USC, especially considering that us and the Outback have agreed to start seeing other people. Plus, USC has a surprising number of alumni in the Metroplex. I would also think that Mizzou could be a good fit for this game, too.
I'm fine with Cap 1, Cotton, or Chicken. I don't want to go back to Tampa, and I think they don't want us again, either.

Huh?
You can't be serious.

Not the first time I've heard this. A lot of folks really like the atmosphere at the Peach Bowl, and the payout is IIRC the highest among non-BCS bowls. Plus, that they match up SEC #5/6 with the ACC #2 ensures that it's usually a pretty decent and evenly matched game.

Plus it has a pretty captive NYE audience and no competitors, unlike the morning/early afternoon Florida bowls.
I think if you could guarantee Michigan, OSU, Penn State and Nebraska were populating those games every year, it wouldn't be as much of a problem. But when it is Wisconsin every year, or Northwestern, or MSU, or Iowa it just isn't very fun.

So will the SEC's perception of the Peach Bowl change when it is an access bowl next year?
It's not the bowl itself. But for LSU after you go to the same bowl multiple times over a short period, plus going to the same stadium/town for the SEC championship and the season opener on a neutral field all in a couple of years span it really loses it's appeal.
Since 2006 LSU has played in there 6 times if you count the Chicken bowl, SEC Championships, and the Chik-Fil-A classic to open the season.

I hope so

Yea the Chik-fil-A bowl is the only one going on at the time, it has the spotlight all to itself. It also has one of the highest payouts of the non-BCS games. They put on a great event. There's a reason they're joining the rotation of the 6 playoff bowls.
