I'd love to play Clemson again. We'd actually want to be in the game this time for revenge. We couldn't give away the game last year hardly and we lost by a point. We'd stomp them with a 2nd chance.

Would the Chicken bowl take us two years in a row?

I would think the Chicken bowl people would purposely trade down to avoid getting LSU again. There's no excitement to go to that bowl in that city at all.

So will the SEC's perception of the Peach Bowl change when it is an access bowl next year?

Auburn in the Rose; Bama in the Sugar; A&M in the Capital One; South Carolina in the Outback; Mizzou in the Peach; LSU in the Cotton.

Who cares about the rest.

USC loses to Auburn and Clemson; Mizzou loses to A&M.

I'm sure South Carolina fans would chirp on and on about it for another year or so though.

We don't chirp. We crow. Get it right, Mizzou.

I don't know who the hell Sam Khan, Jr is or why ESPN thinks he's worth paying to write a blog article, but the guy is pretty confident that State will beat Ole Miss.

What's the stipulation on the East going to the Cotton instead of the West?

Last SEC East team to go to the Cotton Bowl was Tennessee in the 2004-2005 season.

I would absolutely LOVE to see LSU shut out Baylor.

Say Bama loses to Auburn, does that put the Tide in the Sugar? I thought I read a scenario where Bama could be left out of a BCS Bowl all together if they lose.

Twice in two years is not all that great of a prospect for most fanbases. Overall I think A&M would be more excited to go to Atl for the Chick Fil A and LSU more excited to go to the Cotton Bowl. Novelty matters.

Maybe that's wishful thinking on my part. I have a bad taste in mouth RE: the Capital One because of the terrible neighborhood, terrible stadium, and terrible field from the last time we played there.

The Chick Fil A gets a bad rap from LSU fans because recently LSU has landed there after being passed up for better bowls in favor of SEC teams they were better than. Is that unfair? Maybe to the Chick Fil A, but it has also been unfair to LSU if you think bowls should be about season achievement.

In the very unlikely event of Bama losing to either Auburn or MU the first question would be if the SEC Champ were still inflated to the level of getting a shot in the BCS. My presumption is that won't happen because tOSU and FSU would play - making the SEC Champ a participant in the Sugar Bowl.

Who knows at that point? Maybe:

The Rose Bowl: Michigan State vs ASU/Stanford
The Fiesta: Ok State vs Fresno State (undefeated)
Sugar: Auburn/MU vs ? (maybe Baylor)
Orange: Clemson vs UCF
BCS NCG: FSU vs tOSU

I'm just speculating obviously but the inclusion of UCF and Fresno State combined with the maximum participation of two teams from any single conference do narrow things down a bit.

That would in turn have a major domino effect on teh bowl bids down the whole SEC. Suddenly 14 teams with only one BCS participant results in a bunch of teams bumped down to play bowls they won't be super thrilled to participate in IMO

I'm surprised they don't have Missouri penciled in for the Compass or Liberty Bowl.

Assuming OM wins the Egg Bowl the Gator takes an 8 win OM team over Georgia. We would travel better, believe it or not.

I expect you would travel a lot better. 8 wins is the best regular season for Ole Miss since 2009. UGA's fanbase is probably in "aw frick it" mode

Probably because making the Gator Bowl would be an accomplishment to Ole Miss, while it’s a disappointment for UGA. So yeah, I agree

This might depend on who the other team in the game is. I could see UGA traveling well if we were playing Michigan. A lot of UGA fans wouldn't have to make a very big time commitment to go to that game.

If it's like Minnesota or that ilk, UGA won't travel very well.
