I have more problems with this than if he actually was picking up hot young strange.
Football is all he thinks about, he is a middle aged man who has raised his kids, like most men his age he has found a hobby, his hobby is his job, which is kinda sad.

No, you can tear apart his rhetoric like how all the Auburn reporters and fans have this notion that only HUNH/spread ball is played in Arkansas HS football, but he isn't a false guy like Nutt was. He does bend his ethics in regards to recruiting like every other HC in FBS football.

I think you GREATLY overestimate the amount of people who revere Saint Gus. Basically it's Shiloh Christian. The entire state below Fayetteville would tell Gus to frick right off in the high school ranks.
I agree

Gus/Tim must be making claims that they will be able to cherry pick players from Arkansas by the leading being done by Auburn's local reporters yesterday hinting at that when asking 2Bs questions.
But, you have to remember how easy their fan base is to convince of alternate realities, they were here claiming no one could win at Iowa State, winning meaning making bowl games, and Chizik was a great defensive mind who was going to get their D to the Bama/LSU level.
Now they are convinced Gus is a God in Arkansas and their team is stacked with talent recruited specifically for his system, its funny actually.

How did the comment about the HUHN become a shot at Gus directly? Is he the only coach that runs the HUHN? I don't understand how it has become a Gus/Bret thing.
ETA: I'm not actually asking those questions.

Because the reporter worded the question poorly to start this drama...said Gus thought his concerns were a joke.

Then it was followed with a faking injury question.
That was followed with how Bert was ever going to recruit the state of Arkansas with "every team playing the spread/HUNH".
He gave great answers and ignored the recruiting question as he doesn't have to explain it is every kid's dream to play for Arkansas, not his to have the soft and weak ones who can go to Auburn and invade trailer houses and smoke spice and stuff.

If Gus is depending on the state of Arkansas to provide players for his system he might want to start looking for a new house to move into when he gets fired.
