got a bunch of old stereo stuff in our attic and given we will never use tape decks, cd players, or receivers that arent accessible via an iPad ever again - what do you do with this stuff?

Take it to Best Buy and they will recycle it for free. I had the same problem last year and they took a ton of my stuff.

Electronic waste is becoming an increasing concern for the world. We don't know what to do with all these left over and broken parts.

The old Pink Floyd "The Wall" cassettes would wear out quicker than others, or maybe I just played it more.
Remember splicing or re-spooling cassette tape, then winding it with a pencil?

Yep. Also remember having to repurchase half my collection, because I left my cassette tape carrier on the hatrack in the summer.

I had about 3 copies of "The Wall" on cassette, and it was 16 bucks a pop. I purchased Marshall Tucker Band greatest hits twice, and probably a Billy Squier, Def Leppard, and Van Halen tape more than once.
Oh, I bet I had three copies of Quiet Riot and Ozzy cassettes.
Wow, tapes really sucked :)

What about speakers? Have 2 mid sized Harmon/Kardon speakers that are in perfect condition. Seems like a waste to dump those. Is there a market for used speakers like this?

I wish I could rig that. Currently got my AC unit wedge in that spot.

Nothing to stop you from cutting the bench seat in half. Throw a pillow on top and your date has a heated seat.

I've still got my vinyl collection and I remember borrowing my Dad's car one time when I was at Carolina in the early 70s and it had the bomb ... 8-track. Everyone thought I came from a rich family.
Hell, I remember when FM radio came along and everyone thought it was the bomb.
Hell, I remember when there was only black and white TV. I remember our first color TV and how everyone wanted to come to our house to watch the Wonderful World of Disney in color on Sunday nights, followed by Bonanza in color.

Remember this well. Vaguely remember the 8 track. Remember VHF was for ABC,NBC and PBS, and UHF was for CBS. And I remember a 19" tv being the family tv.
