TeLeFaWx,
Which do you prefer? A&M Lite or Burnt-Orange Baylor?

As an outsider, I think the tradition should resume, but it doesn't need to be so big. Maybe build a tower along the lines of the River Parish Christmas Eve bonfires. Like these:

No school apologizes for its history more than A&M. And the scholly limit whine is so old. If you'll check, A&M had same scholly limit as UT and any other school. In a nutshell, you can't use being an Aggie as an excuse (although it is somewhat rational).

What do you know? A fricking burnt-orange bitch that can't let Daddy go. Get used to those burnt-orange tears, cocksmoke. We're your frickING DADDY now and will be in perpetuity. The fact that a buttfricker like you is on the SEC Rant (not a Big Twatever board) is more indicative of your obsession with your Daddy, A&M. We're the "Joneses" now, you little bitch. Get your shine box, Burnt-Orange Balyor....or do you prefer A&M Lite?
You seem to be obsessed with cocks & butts. Would you happen to be on Gov Perry's staff (not literally) :)

Part of the point of bonfire was that it was so big. It took 125,000 man hours to build. That's some serious dedication. There was a saying when I was in school ...
"If it was easy, anyone could build one."

No school talks about how they are the Joneses and does less with much more than A&M Lite.
You can keep your ancient history and (hopefully) Mack/Delost. We'll keep our Boss status. I know it sucks, but don't kill yourself. It could be worse. Tech could be your daddy.
Enjoy eternal marginalization in the Big Twatever, burnt-orange Baylor.

If your team graphic is any indication of your loyalty, you'll be sobbing come January 4th.

Oh, and you're on an SEC board.

IMO the students would have to rally together to get the General, and Loftin on board. To do this with minimal changes to how the Bonfires use to be ran. You would have get the University Profs back involved with it at full swing. The design needs to be made standard. If changes are implemented, the reasoning should not just be to make it "Larger" however to make it safer. I hate using military terms "Lessons Learned" should be the only measure used to change actual implemenation of the project. "Tribal Knowledge" shouldn't be the standard as it was before. Experience is one thing however it started to become a "Tribal Knowledge" thing. A Quality Control team needs to be put in place to make sure all materials used in this project are compliant with design parameters. The students should be able to still build it the ol' school style, as it was before with supervision.
The other way would be to hire a company and to oversee this project and therefore tarnishing the actual spirit of Bonfire.
I remember when it fell, I was in highschool and our teacher got a phone call, and ran down and got a tv from the library. So we could watch it on the NEWS. Pretty emotional day in class, for a lot of us knew people who went to A&M at the time.

Don't let the butthurt sip derail this really good discussion. The fact he is willing to change his fan preference to OU, even if that is the custom of the forum, shows how butthurt he is.
I never got to go to an official bonfire and I never went to an off campus one. As a mid 00's Aggie with no bonfire the only big get together I was apart of was Chilifest.
Overall I think it the reason I hate Texas less than the average Aggie and why I am so excited to move on past them with LSU on Tday weekend.
I hate OU way more than Texas.

First one. A&M should never stand for them.

I know people died, but losing people and a tradition isn't the answer and it never was. When something bad happens, you learn and rebuild or continue on. Not quit. Just like how they are rebuilding the World Trade Center. Not to say the loss is the same etc etc etc, but similar concept.
I'd like to see it return, in a supervised safe way that doesn't compromise safety but also tries to keep it as intact as possible. I'd like to see this when we start playing tu again. You can say never but there won't be a better time to mount support and 2 years ago, no one ever thought we could split from the Big 12 basically on our own. SEC dollars should help with insurance and you know if they let the 12th man raise money for it, it would be able to pay for insurance.
