Why does anyone think this is some conspiracy? The loser of the game will be a two-loss division champ that was a blink away fron the NCG. LSU is a two-loss team that didn't win their division and isn't in the NCG picture at all.

Could be true. Brad Edwards said it on ESPN radio this morning.

I doubt they want to, but the SEC is trying to prevent the loser of the SECC game from falling too far. Of course, they didn't give a crap about it happening to us in 2005. I don't understand why they didn't tell the Outback to take the loser.
Yep. Just like beating Alabama in the SEC Baseball tournament to win the SEC tournament championship in 2010. Bama was rewarded with playing in the Atlanta regional while LSU was rewarded with a place close to home - Los Angeles.

Cotton has no choice
1) Bama/UGA will go to BCS game
2) Fla will go Sugar
3) A&M; Cap 1 lock
4) SCar; Outback lock - to prevent back-to-back games vs Clemson
5) That leaves 11-2 divisional winner or 10-2 LSU to Cotton. Since UGA plays Clemson in their next game, both conferences are lobbying the Cotton. The Cotton will cave.
LSU to Chick

I get that. The conference is going to bat to protect UGA or Bama. But the SEC doesn't seem to have the same consideration for LSU when we're in that position. See, the baseball example upthread. The SEC doesn't necessarily go out of its way to screw LSU at every opportunity. But they don't bend over backwards to help us like they do certain schools. So we play UF every year while Bama gets to play patsies.

They didn't give a shite about dropping us to the chicken bowl in 2005 after we lost to UGA in the SECCG

Why do you guys think this is not possible? Bama would be a lock if they lose and Georgia would jump on the opportunity to go to Dallas. A&M is looking like Capitol One, USCe Outback that leaves Peach and Cotton for the loser of the SEC and LSU.
this
Cap One has wanted Johnny Football for a few weeks now. SEC title game loser is not going to fall all the way to the Peach because of Saban's preemptive crying. Cotton getting the loser no matter what makes perfect sense.

Yes Clemson not a good matchup for us. I don't see the team being motivated for them and they could beat us.

You don't know much about the history of these teams. LSU and UF have played each other every year for a very long time. The Bama and UT series is at least as old.
The NCAA selection committee sets the regional sites. To blame that on the SEC is simply ignorance.
