I want Bo back, but I think he gone. Intuition tells me UCF, but I don't know if Gus is the best route to the NFL.

I hope he stays. He made huge strides this year. IF he decides to leave, best of luck to him. Auburn has been around long before him and will be long after he is gone.

He’s unlikely to go pro unless he makes a major jump from his junior to senior year. If he’s graduated, he’s gotta be considering doing something besides football

It’s baffling and embarrassing

I’ve said this plenty lately. This is not what CFB should be about especially our own program. Blasting players, coaches, etc. as if they are just pieces we move around. Feeling entitled that we should be at the top with other top schools. Forgetting our humanity, forgetting our humility, forgetting decency.

People excuse and talk away this behavior behind the statement of “We want championships, not mediocrity” as if that excuses them to send personal messages disparaging young men who were so excited to be a part of Auburn. Put in countless hours of their lives to become better so that they can compete and hope to win. To make their parents proud and their school.

When I started going to games about 34 years ago it was disappointing to lose but we showed appreciation for our program and team. We weren’t nasty and crass in the way we talked about coaches and players. Hell yeah we wanted to win every game but it was about the camaraderie we all felt as the team came down Tiger Walk feeling a connection in some way. A chance to show them our thanks and pride for all that they do.

What has happened for our love of the Game? When did winning at all costs become the only focus that we can’t even appreciate the play of the team without critiquing, criticizing, calling for heads to roll and players to get fricked even in loss.

I am even guilty of doing this plenty, but this year has really opened my eyes of how bad it has become. We were begging for football last year and you would have thought we all could have had even a minor shift away from being hyper critical of every damn thing. But we haven’t changed.

I want to win, I want to win championships, but not at the price of all our decency. I have been pretty shitty to posters and I’m not proud of it. I’m done acting that way. We all are better than this. We can get pretty nasty on here sometimes and part of it is the anonymity of it all. I apologize for being a major arse hole. I mean Jonesy puts time and effort into the recruiting thread and even after friendly requests to keep it free from bullshite, we shite on it. There are others too.

We are better than that gents, we have to be better than that. I can promise you I wouldn’t act the way if we were all in a room together. I came here because there was some irreverence to the place. We get to jaw at our rivals, but I came here to talk Auburn sports and have some good laughs with fellow Auburn men and women. I came here to enjoy the game and express our thoughts during it, and occasional light hearted rribby.

When did we get so off kilter that it has devolved to what we have in here. Being uncivil. We all deserve better and we all need to be better. Especially me. To all of you who have kept it real and worked to keep your civility, Thank you. I’m sorry for my part in the bad that happens here.

I love to win and highly competitive. Played sports my whole life, and I get we have spent money at Auburn,, have degrees from Auburn, support Auburn through different means, but it doesn’t mean we have the right to dehumanize coaches because they get paid a lot and attack them. Gus for instance, he didn’t start each day wondering how he could screw over Auburn, find ways to lose, piss off fans. The man loved Auburn, he even donated a lot of money towards facilities. Yes, it is also a business but is there some unwritten rule we have to hate them, tear them down, wish them Ill will and misfortune. Why can’t we just say thank you for the good you did here Gus, and thank you for loving Auburn. We wish you the best of luck in your next endeavor but you’re always welcome here?

This has been a long post and I just don’t like what a lot of us have become. The change to better football experiences begin with us gentlemen, it’s how we treat each other here and in person. I wish you all the best and hope you’re not too hard on me for expressing something I have been feeling for a while but didn’t have the courage to share or admit my part in the mess. I urge you to stop focusing on winning so much that you forget who you are and forget that the people getting bashed have families and they don’t deserve the treatment we display here.

I know, many will say but it’s just a message board, but it is obvious with so much more access to directly communicate with players and coaches, the messages here are reaching there intended targets, it’s not who we should be. And if you think I’m full of shite and out of line, long winded in my post so be it. But I’m choosing to change. The desire to win championships is not going to give me the right to be rude, nasty, and talk to you and others in a way that makes it seem you are not a real person but just a figure behind a keyboard. So I’m gonna take a break for a bit. I hope you can see the intent of the message and not focus on my delivery, my grammar or spelling.

If you disagree that is fine, but I hope before you do please reflect a little and see if my words might have some valid points. Merry Christmas coming up and I wish you all a Happy New Year! War Damn Eagle and see you in a few.

I think money changes things.

In 1973, I attended the Auburn Chattanooga game as my first home game.

Not a rich kid, but we walked right into the locker room with my uncle and the players signed our program.

Everything is choreographed now. Every encounter costs money. Expectations go up when we guarantee 42 million. It is what it is.

The players work hard, but it is frustrating to watch great athletes make mistakes that are violations of fundamental football.

I want to compete and win our share. We blew it Saturday. Many of the players played at a high level Saturday. We were down Bo which costs us 8-4.

I think Harsin can build a program. I have always supported the Auburn Tigers and always will. When we do good, I’ll say it. When we do stupid stuff, I’ll say it.

Bo and Pat both would have battered woman syndrome if they went to UCF.

Amazing now that people want people not to bash players and coaches all for the championships. I’ve been saying it fir a while.

Ironic is the word. If somehow Bo ends up in Florida, I will laugh my arse off

I wouldn’t blame him though. Fans shite on him for nothing. Just like others.

Correct. There is a line between criticism and straight bashing a kid though

Unfortunately, the fact that people are hidden for the most part on Social Media/Message boards, they dont know how to criticize or critique. Its usually just straight out Bashing.

Some on this board directly contributed to this shite. I almost hope he transfers and you guys get Finley and a true freshman just so you can continue to wallow in your pessimistic misery.

Auburn can't have good things because of the ilk I'm referring to.

What a complete load of shite. Auburn fans routinely talk about this year's LSU win as if he was the only player on the field. He gets credit when the offense does well and gets criticism when he plays badly, which he has done on numerous occasions - no different than it would be at any other school. Welcome to being the QB at a program that gives a shite. What, he's going to transfer somewhere where people won't point out when he plays poorly? He's going to go to the NFL and the barometer is going to be "well he tries really hard!"? That's not how it works, and unless he plans on running down to some directional school, he's going to be critiqued period - except he won't also get the benefit of the hometown fans gassing him up whenever he has a "good game" LOL.

By the way, if he does transfer, there will be quite a few other QB's available to bring in - so your "dream" of Auburn looking bad with Finley and a true freshman isn't likely to materialize. Sorry bud.

I hope he stays also. Too many fans have talked shite and blamed everything on him including some friends of mine. I’ve told them since the first time that he isn’t to blame for everything. He made a big improvement this season and if he can just settle down a little more and follow through next season with that in mind he will have a much better chance at the NFL. I really hope he comes back and proves everyone wrong, kid has a ton of talent, just needs to calm it down at times.

Nah. He only played badly twice. The rest of the time Auburn alums and sidewalkers chewed him over stuff not in his control.

Bo seriously progressed this year (even with terrible receivers and subpar OL) and anyone who thinks differently is blind. Sure, he had a couple of bad games but The rest of the team didn’t offer much help in those games either. It stinks he has to rehab instead of getting a whole offseason to learn more from Harsin and a new OC, but I expect he will continue to develop even more. Mix that in with improved OL, improved WR, and a non-anemic OC, and we have a chance to be very solid on offense. I really hope he gets healthy and stays. The alternative is bleak at this point.

Some of those bad games receivers weren't running the right routes, he threw to the right spots the receiver wasn't there. He def improved other than ankle being fell on by both QBs
