Statistical breakdown:

First Downs: UF 21, UK 13
3rd Downs: UF 4/13, UK 1/9
Total Yards: UF 382, UK 224
Passing Yards: UF 211, UK 87
Rushing Yards: UF 171, UK 137
Penalties: UF 15/115, UK 4/30
Turnovers: UF 1, UK 1
Time of Possession: UF 36:18, UK 23:42

UF outplayed UK in every major category except penalties and special teams yesterday.

How did they lose then? It means UF is an undisciplined football team, and it also means UF was poorly prepared, and poorly coached.

And that is Dan Mullen. All Dan Mullen.

Anymore UF sunshine pumpers going to defend this guy?

UF has a ceiling, and it isn't better, and NEVER will be better with Dan Mullen than Alabama or Georgia.

Is it starting to sink in that Dan is a swashbuckling snake oil salesman yet?

He will always be MSU Dan. Does some really good things and then do things to erase the really good things.

And he’s not much of a recruiter.

I thought that Dan Mullen could reach his full potential at Florida but instead he's just turning Florida into Mississippi State.

Welcome to our world of the past 35 years. Many times UK outplayed UF and still wound up on the losing end. Now you know how frustrating that is. And we know how exhilirating it is to be on the winning end of such a game.

For the OP, I still can’t believe Mullen left points on the board at the end of the first half by sitting on three timeouts when he could’ve kicked a FG.

I don’t know if it was arrogance or what, but I’d have lost my shite over that one.

Just be glad that UK has a new OC, a new OLine coach, a new QB who just got here this summer and is replacing a four year starter at center.

Play this game in November and UK wins by 20.

Didn’t go for it on Kentucky’s side of the 50 on 4th down, let the clock run out at halftime, no adjustment on all the false start penalties - I think he put money on Kentucky. Absolutely phoned that in.

Y’all couldn’t advance the ball when it got time to man up in the trenches.

Y’all got yards with no results (see #1).

Y’all couldn’t run the ball like you have on everyone else.

Fla streak of 14 straight games with 400 plus total yards broken.

Stats are a dumbass way of looking at a game. Bottom line is y’all ain’t tough enough. That’s not a slam, it’s just the truth.

That sequence before halftime, taking all 3 timeouts to the locker room with just a 3 point lead not even trying to get more points when Kentucky was receiving the 2nd half kickoff was unforgivable.

Dan helped elevate Mississippi State from where they were before he got there. But there's a ceiling with him. Never will pull an upset over a better team. Mix that in with a bone head loss or two. (South Alabama)

Those close moral victories are still losses. (Alabama a couple times)

I'll say it as a State fan... Hugh Freeze owned Dan Mullen.

15 penalties? That’s the only stat I needed.

I am not going to say Florida is poorly coached, but they are undisciplined. Goes back to the shoe throw last season and the penalties.

I watched the game and early on thought something was off. It felt like one Florida could/would lose. Not sure why I felt that way, but it just felt off. Florida looked like they were playing like winning was a given, and Kentucky played with a lot of fire.
