I think the point of eliminating divisions would be to eliminate Conference Championship Games so the opposition could not bitch about too many games.

Eliminating divisions would just make schedules more uniform and would ensure the top 2 teams would actually make the CCG.

How do you determine the champion of a 14 team conference without a championship game?
Don’t say something stupid like make all conferences 10 teams, the SEC isn’t kicking 4 teams out.
And 16 or 17 games is too many, it’s not just some excuse. Adding a bunch of 2 or 3 loss and/or G5 teams that have no chance of winning to the playoff is ridiculous.
