This part is a complete sham though. They are not getting paid for their NIL; they are getting paid to play football at X University so it is just legal payments now rather than illegal payments before. How many companies are out there paying NIL and using the players picture in ads? I've seen that LSU gymnast advertising tights (and thank you for that) but haven't seen any others.

If there's provable evidence, then that is illegal. A player can take that NIL money and jet to a different school. It isn't a binding contract.

I've seen judkins post merch from his NIL deal on his instagram.

Bryce Young was in a number of Nissan and Dr. Pepper commercials last season.
