We need to stop thinking that there’s some way to “fix” the current NIL situation. That ship sailed a long time ago.
Also, that’s not really much of an advantage considering someone can make money off of their name, image, and likeness at any point. NIL wasn’t created for college sports. It’s always been around. They just finally realized that the NCAA cannot legally stop someone from making money off of their NIL.
I agree with you. That toothpaste ain't going back in the tube.

I've been telling people for years....all the players(the one's I knew, at least) wanted was just a little extra in their stipend to help with clothes, groceries, essentials for their kids, etc. But fans/alumni as well as big names like fricking Dabo Sweeney lost their shite at the idea.
