No I think his family took out a policy that if he dropped to a certain point by returning he would be compensated
Good luck collecting on that

You are making a ton of assumptions to come to this conclusion.
No I am not. He 100 percent would have been drafted in first few rounds last year.
From article last year
“His father's statement, released Thursday on Instagram by Dylan Moses and then deleted on Friday, said Dylan had received a second-round draft grade from the NFL advisory committee. His father is investigating whether Dylan has a "loss of value" claim against an insurance carrier after receiving a "mid-1st round NFL draft projection," the statement said.

Based on what? He didn't go where he was projected this year, so what do those projections really say?
He was still coming off injury and he wasn't exactly lighting things up as a freshman either.
His stats and such didn't drop off in his final year outside a couple of sacks, and he played higher competition on average in his final year.
More likely, he would have slide last year as well.

I've read he was expected to be an early round draft pick this year as well.
So again, what changed?

Are you seriously going with “Moses would have been at best a 6th round pick last year?”

I don't know what he would have been drafted, neither do you.
I do know that he graded almost exactly the same for both drafts. You claimed his draft grade for last year was proof, and that's obviously not the case.

Moses never showed that alpha killer instinct at ILB. His injuries messed with his head too. Hope he can make a roster and work his way back into shape mentally and physically. Seems like a nice dude.

We’ve seen this before guys. He’s that guy that had a grown man’s physique in 8th grade , who was never a really instinctive football player, and who peaked too early. If not for the bitter shitbaggery between Alabama and his hometown school, nobody would give two shites about him. He’s a dude that looks good getting off the bus, but he is nothing special on the football field. And he’s definitely no Patrick Queen or Jacob Phillips who LSU got in his class- and who have already started on NFL teams.

Hard to take you serious with that. Here, this even from a Bama site
“Tabbed a likely first round pick for years, Moses saw his stock with the NFL Draft media plummet throughout the season. He’s now generally considered around the 10th best linebacker in the draft, and generally viewed as a Day 3 selection.”

FOR YEARS it says. He was a 5 star recruit and has been known about since the 8th grade.
From PPF:
Biggest Fallers in the 2021 NFL Draft: Alabama's Dylan Moses, Miami's Gregory Rousseau and more
quote:
End of Season ADP: 40.0
Current ADP: 104.2
Moses coasted into draft season off his reputation as a former five-star recruit, a freshman All-American and a multi-year starter for the Tide. But when most got around to his 2021 tape, they discovered that the results weren’t as good.
Moses returned from an ACL tear in 2019 to earn a 51.9 run-defense grade and 62.6 coverage grade. And that’s not going to cut it, even with plus athletic tools.
Even the early-career hype around Moses was based on what he could be and not necessarily what he was. Moses earned a 49.0 coverage grade back in 2018 and has shown little in the way of playmaking instincts in that regard. He finished just ninth among SEC linebackers in stops in 2020 after ranking 14th in stops in 2018. That’s not going to cut it for a top linebacker prospect.
See what it says? At the end of the season, he was graded at around 40th. Top of the 2nd round pick.
Also as mentioned, his grades were basically the same, improved actually.
But after teams started to evaluate him more, he dropped down. This was written a few days before the draft, he's dropped even further than this projected.
The same evaluations would have been made last year, he likely would have dropped last year as well.

Can you read?
From your own link
“But when most got around to his 2021 tape, they discovered that the results weren’t as good.”
Exactly what I said in the OP
“He should have left when people still thought he was good”

Why are you unable to apply things to both years?
Do you think they weren't going to look at his existing tape last year(or that they didn't this year)?
As it clearly shows, he was hyped up as a top 2nd round draft pick even coming off the season. THE EXACT SAME AS LAST YEAR. The process didn't continue beyond that because HE DIDN'T DECLARE.
If he had decided to come back to Alabama again this year, you'd still have him as a high 2nd round pick.

He wouldn’t have had as much tape to evaluate and could have benefited more from his “hype” over substance. That is the point

THOUGHT is right. I was never that
Impressed with him though because
He was too damn inconsistent.
Draft bust.

I'm really not sure what part of he didn't drop until he went further in the process you don't understand.
His existing tape was worse. If he had gone this far into the process the same thing would have happened. You are only using the unknown to make claims and you seem incapable of understanding that the people who hype are not the same people who draft.
And btw, the further he drops, the more it likely means something happened with either his medical or his interviews.

Saban got him that 2nd round draft eval last year from NFL folks, not hype media.
More tape hurt him. We will just have to agree to disagree.

You are certainly free to make shite up, that's for sure.
The further he drops, the more it likely means he had bad interviews or some kind of medical issues. But you keep believing what makes you feel best.
