Some things that I noticed in practice.

First of all, I’ll say that I didn’t stay the whole time. I was there a little over an hour but dang it was fun to be back in JHS!

-Larrando seems like he is going to bring a lot of energy to the program.
-Several players looked visibly stronger and/or in better shape than last year.
-The coaches that I spent time watching (Eason, Caddy, Friend, CWill, and Mason) are all high energy and very focused on technique.
-Harsin also seemed high energy and was constantly rotating around and getting involved, he threw a lot of passes with the TEs and he got in there and worked with the WRs some too.

-in individuals, Devan Barrett was getting a good bit of 1-on-1 work with Caddy and Shivers is looking stout and has definitely gotten bigger.

-installs- a lot of plays from under center and quite a bit of 2 TE sets. In 2 TE, the starters seemed to be Pegues and Frazier. In wider sets the TE starters seem to be Pegues and Fromm. HBs were Pegues and Deal. WRs were Canion, Malcolm Johnson, and Ja’varrius Johnson.

-in QB drills, a lot of focus on fundamentals, footwork and getting shoulders pointed towards the target. Bo was getting pointers and work in on the side with Harsin and maybe Bobo.

-some other random things I noticed: Moultry got a lot of time with the starters and looked the part, Jaren Handy was super high energy and was hyping up other guys, Derick Hall looked really good and like a difference maker, Jeremiah Wright (#76) got a lot of time with the starters- he looked big and moved well, Tyler Fromm also got a good bit of time with the 1s and he didn’t seem out of place, Ja’varrius Johnson looks small out there, but he ran good routes, is very quick and showed good hands.
