Florida and A&M are closing the gap pretty quickly. However, from a pure talent standpoint Bama/UGA lead the pack. LSU the closest behind them. I know as an A&M fan we still need a few more stacked classes to be considered with the elite.

This class that A&M finishes next week will be the third excellent class A&M signs in a row. It still isn't in the territory of Alabama/UGA - seven five stars for Alabama this year, but it very much brings the team within striking distance of LSU and Florida.

And we all know that coaching still matters.

Next year I think the BCR report will show this - Florida in front this year

Bama
UGA
LSU
A&M
Florida

The best move A&M ever made was coming to the sec. now you stand out from Texas and could even become the premier school recruiting wise for a long time in Texas

I would put A&M at #3. LSU is bringing a lot of players back but these are the same players that just went 5-5. I don't see them matching what A&M did this past year.

This is kind of an odd rationalization since most of Texas A&M's players from last season went 7-5 in 2019.

Georgia can match anyone skill wise. I just can’t rank them number 1 overall in talent yet. But I’m an idiot so maybe I’m wrong

How many years does that actually take? Coach Saban's first NC team came with plenty of Mike Shula's recruits playing big roles. It wasn't the deepest or the most talented, it was the best. Ask Florida?

For whatever reasons UGA is having a problem taking it (talent) from paper to the field.

It was weird seeing LSU do bad last season. I could see this season going really well for you guys or pretty bad. I guess we will see

JMO but the Johnson kid has a real chance to be special at QB for LSU. If so then LSU is going to be a really good team. You will never out athlete LSU.

I mean, there’s a literal metric for this. Georgia had 990.52 last year and Bama had 985.6. And Georgia lost a lot less this year. So yes, Georgia is more talented the Bama. The problem this year was 2 things.

1. 11/16 of our 5-stars were underclassmen
2. We didn’t have talent at the QB position to start the year.

It takes a bit with a team like A&M. We had a generational QB with Manziel but did not have the talent around him to take advantage. With Fisher, we currently have more talent that we ever did under Sumlin, but don't have the QB. The foundation is being built, especially if you look at the recruiting trends at A&M, with really good trench players. Just have to find the QB - last piece of the puzzle.

My opinion is that King just might be that player, and we will find out soon.

Now, how many football players you got under those stars? That's when evaluation gets serious and seldom does recruiting geek and reality meet.

You might as well include this year's recruiting class in a few days, right? A goodly portion are going to be on the field THIS season.

You still have to have the QB to make the jump, and JT Daniels may just be enough to get UGA over the hump. The QB doesn't have to be fantastic at Bama/UGA, but they have to be good enough. UGA's schedule next year is very favorable for a run

Well, it's time. No excuses. Yall play in an incredibly weak SEC East and should win the division most years.

Georgia's 5-stars
- (JR) Nolan Smith (Starting OLB)
- (FR) Kelee Ringo (Starting CB)
- (JR) Zamir White (Starting RB)
- (SR) Jamaree Salyer (Starting OL)
- (FR) Broderick Jones (Potential Starting OL)
- (JR) JT Daniels (Starting QB)
- (SO) Jalen Carter (Starting DT)
- (JR) Nakobe Dean (Starting ILB)
- (SR) Demetris Robertson (2nd-string WR)
- (JR) Travon Walker (Starting DE)
- (SO) Darnell Washington (Starting TE)
- (SR) Adam Anderson (Starting OLB)
- (JR) George Pickens (Starting WR)
- (SO) Clay Webb (Potential Starting OL)
- (FR) Brock Vandagriff (2nd-string QB)
- (FR) Amarius Mims (Starting OL)
- (FR) Smael Mondon (2nd-string OLB)
- (FR) Xavian Sorey (2nd-string OLB

So, yeah, every single one of those 5-stars either starts or contributes. They were just really young.

What really went wrong for Georgia was our 2018 recruiting class. It was one of the highest ranked ever, but we lost 8 guys to transfer.
