Muschamps signing class brought in a lot of the talent the Kevin Steele utilized

I'd be good with bringing Muschamp back as DC. Problem would be how long would he stay?

I could see pros and cons to a short or long stay tbh though guess it just depends on what Harsin wants.

I'm a fan of Boom. But like I've said before I think he needs to either return to the NFL or take a year off. Let it all out and come back to college with a new mindset. His in you face coaching style doesn't motivate like it did 10 years ago. You can be a "players coach" and still be tough and physical.

If I'm CBH I'm trying to drag Avalos down here before BSU hires him as a head coach. He can always go back to BSU, no better proving grounds then the SEC.

I wouldn’t get hopes up. I doubt he would hire Muschamp. What makes anyone think it’s possible?

Sorry, I don't get all of the Muschamp love
Wasn't suggesting he hire Muschamp. Rather since WM's not coaching and has in depth Auburn knowledge, Harsin might get some good insight for nothing more than a meet and greet phone call. Mere networking. It wouldn't cost either of them anything and it's always good to meet the folks around your new neighborhood. A howdy, as in you never know when you might meet again or need a favor.

Just the way and old guy might handle things.

Any talk of TRob coming back? If you had TRob, Boom, and also bring in Dell McGee, that’s a helluva shot in the arm for recruiting. Get Coach Rocker back as well.

If I'm Harsin, I at least Make Muschamp turn me down.
Muschamp with his experience as a HC at two SEC schools, brings a lot to the table above his DC skills. Players love him, and from what I understand, he's a decent recruiter. I think everyone would agree, he's not a good HC, but he's a damn good coordinator. Make him say no.

Seth Williams stock dropped this year. He’s been downright bad at times. He really needs another year but I doubt he stays.

Yep. He needs another year, but he's not exactly known for reasoning, and keeping his emotions in check.

Yeah that's pretty much my opinion as well. His last tenure here didn't start so hot, but that defense improved leaps and bounds by the end of the '15 season. As well as the shot in the arm he gave us recruiting.

It's not so much even his DC abilities (though I think he's an elite coordinator). Everyone is questioning Harsin's southern network and lack of SEC experience. Who better than Boom to give us instant credibility on the recruiting trail and introduce CBH to some of the key people in the recruiting universe of the southeast? Even if he does jump after a season or two, the foundation he could lay down would be a great starting point for the new program moving forward.

But as others have said, if Harsin has someone lined up and has confidence in them, by all means let him hire who he wants and believes in. This is his time to sink or swim and from everything I've seen, I think he is up to the task.

Muschamp wont gel well with Harsin.

Could you imaging Harsin calling Champ a motherfricker to his face? Yeah, me either

After watching Harsin, I don't think he's the guy you'd want to mess with. Muschamp is all show with his antics.

confirmed, someone is logging in N10AU as "N10U" sometimes on Flightaware, a flight just popped up from Pueblo, Colorado to Boise in about 45 mins, so either refuel or picking someone up

Steele is/was the highest paid coordinator in the country. He makes promote or move on money. He will be replaced without a doubt. Harsin is in complete control and will hire whoever he wants...just like I speculated Greene would.

It wouldn’t surprise me if he spent this week reaching out to recruits and settling in a bit. I wouldn’t be surprised if the current staff coaches the bowl game before the new staff is announced.

The real question is can we survive an entire week waiting? My first guess at a bullshite name that will come up is Hugh Freeze. He uses the opportunity to get back into the SEC and prove himself as the OC at Auburn. T-Will, Caddy, and Kodi will remain on staff (good recruiters, ex-players given as rationale). We will speculate that he was forced and not in control of the defensive staff, only offense. Many “not good enough” names will be on a leaked list...

Just remember, you heard it here first. Oh, and frick the legend of Muschamp
