LSU stuck to their base D and man coverage and got burnt repetedly vs Mississippi State earlier this season and the last 3 weeks Arkansas, Kentucky, and A&M have all decided to rush 3 and drop 8 into Zone coverage.

This isn't something Saban and his defense has done, will he make the change this Saturday or not? I dont think it makes a difference what defense he plays personally. Just curious if he changes his entire game plan for the Air Raid or not

Saban on Mike Leach's Air Raid offense: "It's very effective and certainly something different than what you see week in and week out. I think you have to play differently against it."

And this is just false. Do you think Alabama is running the same base 3-4 defense it was running in 2009? The defense has had to adjust over the years. During a season as well with the myriad of offenses you can face.

Of course he will. It’ll be even uglier than the other games because their front 3 will eat your OL alive. Prayers sent.

I fully expect us to get gashed on Saturday. I hope I'm wrong but we will see.

Yeah, it seems running zone keeps everything in front of the defense, so I would expect to see some form of it on Saturday. (Saban stated earlier in the week that they would be looking at this game differently.)

Saban has a "Fire Zone," which is one-high coverage where the corners play aggressive man on the outside, while still allowing for a moderate rush inside.

I believe everyone has done some form of this against the air raid thus far, aside from Bo Pelini. He did have the unfortunate circumstance of facing them right out of the gate, though.

I don't man... can our slow, big, fat linebackers even keep up with y'all?

Hasn't MSU lost a bunch of players to the transfer portal?

I took Bama -33 the second it hit the plate. I don't see us putting up more than 7 points. Bama will put up 45 with ease. The only way we cover is if Bama puts in backups in the second half, which I believe is what Vegas is thinking. Then again, their backups are still better than our 1s.
