If Saban coaches this game.....I don't want to hear a damn thing about Covid anymore

This is pure and utter garbage.

Herbstriet had to miss calling a game because he was near someone who tested positive.

Teams are cancelling games because the damn water boy is sick...

If one player is within " contact " on someone tested positive the entire team shuts down.

I have seen countless times where it makes no sense to stop " life ".... or even play a football game because of the absurd rules of covid...

But yet, Saban test POSITIVE a few days ago and we're finding a way for him to coach this game on the sidelines? Any other coach in the country like Dabo would be absolutely killed in the media for even suggesting it, let alone actually doing it.

This is another classic example of changing the rules and Alabama fans will stand by it... The SEC nut homers will stand by it also. A few of you in here will call it out just like I am and kudos to you for putting your SEC allegiance down and calling a spade a spade.

In fairness, you do understand there is such a thing as false positives, right? I mean, that appears to be the case with Saban. As far as I know, he has not been known to have come in contact with anyone with Covid or been exposed in any way. It was a precaution. If he coaches he will have had three straight tests done saying is is Covid free.

I have a different take. $atan does NOT coach tonight, and sets them up for their annual mulligan/do-over. No one runs a better campaign than the midget, aight.

Actually, this makes me question why we are testing 3 times a week for these athletes and coaches.

It’s not “science.” It’s fear.

In general, there is too much fear.

The Indianapolis Colts had four players test POSITIVE earlier this week and it was determined yesterday they were false POSITIVES. Should they not play tomorrow?

Idiot.

It’s not like they are just letting him show up and coach sick. If he does coach in this game it will be because he passed 3 test staggered 24hrs apart from each other.

Have you ever heard of false positives? A false positive means that the person didn’t have COVID. If Saban never had COVID, why wouldn’t he coach? The same rule requiring 3 straight days of negative tests after a positive test applies to EVERY coach in the SEC.

Wasn’t there another A1 coach that tested positive?

Is he testing negative now?

Contact tracing?

The question you should be asking is are these the same tests the rest of the country is using, and are those false positives going into the pot? Is the total case count with the false positives being used to set public policy? The proven incompetence of many state health departments doesn't give the warm and fuzzies about removing those false positives.

In the grand scheme of things, a football game doesn't mean shite. However, if you go piling these false positives up and start using them to prove a "spike" we have a major problem on our hands.

So if he tests negative three times, he should be held out of coaching?

This is an example of following the rules. The SEC has rules in place for false positives.

You seem pretty goddamn stupid.
