Damn. You could have said "Getting their first NFL check and finding out the government took/spent more of their money than their agent, wife, and momma combined"

If you’re just now realizing that you and most of the guys on any given UGA team probably wouldn’t see eye to eye on political and societal issues, then I don’t know what to tell you. If it makes you feel any better, I know for a fact that there are plenty of guys in the team who are also huge Trump supporters. And that’s perfectly fine, too.
When you have 85+ college aged males, they’re going to have varying opinions (some well informed and some incredibly naive) and personalities to match. You can disagree with individuals but still enjoy the team and university. It’s not hard to do.

Out of curiosity, what are you worried they’re going to ask you to believe?

I’m really wondering in what situation people think they’re going to be put on the spot, let alone by a college football player they don’t personally know, and given some sort of ultimatum.

I played sports so I’m aware of how things work. With the idea that athletes may start generating income from merchandise sales is poking a portion of your fan base a good idea?

So the players aren't allowed to express their own opinions? As asinine as some of these things have become such as the Okie State controversy it's equally as ridiculous seeing grown men get upset over some 20 year old speak his mind

We’re still at least a year away from that being an option to athletes so we will see what the market says then. Still, you’re not obligated to like every guy on the team. Mind you, nobody on the team has done anything illegal or even shameful to dislike them for; they’re doing the most American thing imaginable by voicing their opinions same as you or I. In the same turn, I can disagree with their opinions but still like them and buy anything they end up being a spokesperson for to support them and not feel bad or hypocritical about it.

No because of the melting that will occur from the snowflakes. Players have been shielded from the ignorance and hate of their own fan bases for a long time, and that shield is being removed. I can only imagine how much shite Chubba got from idiot poke fans.

Or i can voice my opinion by not offering anything of Monetary value to a cause I refuse to support. Turn about is fair play. Not sure what the problem is.

Well deserved shite, he melted over a t-shirt.
Talk about a snowflake.

Unlike you, he has good reason to melt considering the bullshite people like him have to endure.

Sure. Never said you couldn’t. Just don’t be disappointed when others dont follow suit because there’s an easy compromise on the table (disagree with the individual players views but support the team). But if you want to log off and never pay attention to UGA ever again, you’re most welcome to do so.

What’s he had to endure exactly? Not being born white - does that come with automatic oppression?
Looks like he’s on scholarship to a D1 school and probably has tutors and a plethora of other advantages over normal folks. He’s rightly been given shite for his threats over a fricking T-shirt. What a cuck

Who is upset? Who said they can’t do anything? It’s a simple question. When you start losing fan support you lose everything. Fan support is what drives everything because if those tickets don’t sell there is no football season.

Depends on whether they parade it on TV.
There’s an easy compromise - they could sit in the locker room during the anthem and keep having their opinion just like the rest of us.
If a conservative can’t parade their views then I’m not supporting the opposing sides views.
I’m sure I won’t be the only one. People of sick of it.

He has probably dealt with POS racists at some point. He may have been unfairly targeted by police due to his skin color. Those are good reasons. You don’t have good reasons to melt. You should be embarrassed of yourself.

Yeah right wing nutjobs have been saying this for a while but overall most fans don't give a shite. People are perfectly fine just watching football even if the league is doing a PR stunt
