I hope it's all just a case of mistaken identity. I just won't be shocked if it isn't. He was a good player for us but that doesn't mean I don't think he's capable of doing such an absurd act.

It doesn't make sense a guy on NFL salary would murder 3 people, it doesn't make sense an NFL player would drug and rape multiple women, it doesn't make sense an NFL player cannot stop smoking weed after the 6th suspension, it doesn't make sense an NFL player would beat up strippers, his own body guards, and end up in a gun fight at a strip club, it doesnt make sense an NFL player would drive drunk and kill someone on an NFL salary.
Those are just some of the instances I can think of off the top of my head.
Nothing surprises me any more when it comes to these entitled athletes.
ETA: Not to mention, it's the attorney's job to say his client is innocent. You might need to pump the brakes yourself.
Think for a second. Let's use some simple logic.
It's absolutely true that some people are just murderers. Rich murderers kill people all the time. Some people just rapists, and others have substance problems.
Armed robbery is done to make money. It's one of the most high risk/low reward ways to go about it - and especially nonsensical for a person who can afford to wholesale drugs.
I'm sure this board could compile a long list of rich and famous people who have been party to each of the crimes you named, but I challenge you to name 2 people who made money legally and have been convicted (while still making millions) of participating in an armed robbery.
I'm not saying the kid is innocent - just that this smells funny. It seems prudent to avoid the rush to judgement we're seeing from even folks on this board.
ETA: Armed robbers also don't typically turn themselves into the police. This really doesn't make sense, but like I said we will see.

I'm not saying he did it or not as I want to see all the evidence but I could see a situation where he did lose the money and wanted to keep his tough guy act up and robbed them to get it back. It could be a power thing.

I thought about that. It's is absolutely a logical explanation, and we'll see if that's what happened. Still seems odd that he'd robb everyone, and can you name a someone who's rich and famous who lost money then robbed a bunch of people at gunpoint?
I really just need to see more info before I convict this kid, and I wish everyone weren't in such a rush.

Baker’s attorney says he has affidavits from witnesses and video evidence that clear Baker of any wrongdoing and it will be presented in court.
What else would a defense attorney say?

Most attorneys would dance around it, he is saying they have affidavits and videos to prove his innocence....

Let's see if those folks are also willing
to testify under oath. IF that's the case it's gonna be a difficult to prosecute and or get a conviction with the current charges.

It looks like police no longer have witness cooperation. If that’s the case, and there’s no video, this case is over as it relates to Deandre Baker & Quinton Dunbar.

Update
I'd love to know what exactly happened that night.
quote:
There is no other corroborating evidence in the case against Baker & Dunbar except statements of 5 witnesses/ (4 are alleged victims) who spoke to police & now allegedly recanted/wrote affidavits for the defense — is according to Baker’s attorney. If true, there’s no case.
I'd love to know what exactly happened that night.

Well, yeah. Killing people is sort of a prerequisite for being a murderer.

Excluding organized crime figures, and the cast of Diff'rent Strokes, I assume.

Adam Hicks is worth millions and was still acting when he and his girlfriend went on an armed robbery spree.....I think he even had a movie released like right before they started
But armed robbery is certainly not a crime millionaires are typically arrested for

Millionaires, especially billionaires, usually Rob people's entire lifesavings with no need for a gun and when caught, serve their time in country club prisons with tennis...

Adam Hicks couldn't make his bail. He's no millionaire.
The fact is this case is far from decided and Baker's innocence/guilt is far from clear.
