Your QB was hot trash vs even average competition in the worst conference of the power five.

So was Fromm last year. How did that turn out for UF?

Newman's 49.6% completion percentage against Top 50 competition says otherwise

Did Newman have top 50 talent on his team when he played those teams? Or are you assuming he’ll have the same talent to work with at UGA that he had at Wake Forest?

Imo UF needs an elite DC who can also recruit to make the next step.

Tenn had what, 1 or 2 NFL draftees?

You're not going from that to having 8-14 draftees that current day Teams have that allows them the necessary Talent to win a CFP, for the foreseeable future Tennessee will toggle anywhere from 5-7 to 7-5

Tennessee isn't a threat to anyone, maybe Vandy

Big Stadiums and passionate Fans don't make you a threat to win it all, Talent & coaching does, Tennessee has the former, but they are lacking in the latter

I see this take is becoming the equivalent of the Coley is a massive upgrade groupthink that caught on this time last annum

How so? When Coley was OC at Miami his talent was similar to that of the competition he was playing. Wake was the least talented team in the ACC. When Newman plays against other SEC teams he’ll be playing with UGA’s roster, not Wake’s.

Because you dullards have convinced yourselves Georgia has somehow upgraded the quarterback position with Greyson Lambert 2.0, much like how Coley was an upgrade last annum

upgraded the quarterback position

UGA got little production from the QB position last year. With a new scheme and better OC it’s not crazy to think Newman will have more production than Fromm.

Coley certainly wasn’t great, but he dealt with more injuries than Chaney and less weapons. Chaney only managed 6 more points against LSU with Ridley, Hardman, Nauta, Swift, and Holyfield. Chaney wasn’t exactly and offensive juggernaut at UGA either once Sony and Chubb left. We’ll find out this year if it was an OC issue or Smart issue. Its possible both were running the offense the way Kirby wanted.

No, most of us are just excited for a new style of play and a different qb. The media is hyping Newman way more than UGA fans are.

Muh Monken was an extremely underwhelming hire and Newman put up worse stats against worse defenses than Jarrett Guarantano, who is objectively terrible

I am not trying to engage some weirdo with over 1k posts on Volnation into a debate fwiw

Come on now. This was a pretty solid hire along with the Faulkner hire.

Monken is an average to below average coach at best.

Cool, can you give some facts on why you feel this way instead of "UGA hired him. He's doodoo head".

He’s better than Coley.

With less talent to work with. Tennessee had the 16th most talented roster in the nation last year. Wake wasn’t close to that.

Really? It seems like you were before your weak argument was shut down.

Only an idiot believes this

This virus also causes internal organ damage, issues with blood clots that are affecting so-called healthy people, now the Medical Experts are saying this virus is now affecting young children that never were symptomatic but have the antibodies in their system

We don't fully know all the negative ways that Covid-19 affects us

Take this Pandemic lightly at your own risk
