meh.....breaking in a new QB next year will cause some growing pains.

This really makes me laugh. Why is it just LSU will go through growing pains with a new QB, yet the Alabama's, Clemson's, Georgia's, Ohio St's, Oklahoma's can just keep plugging and playing the next QB up and never be mentioned as needing to break in a new QB.

And yeah I understand that we are the new kid on the block and we still have some proving to do, but all those schools mentioned replace a ton of players each year, yet it seems like it's always LSU that has to prove that losing players won't cause a drop off.

Lol ruling the East is like being the smartest kid in special Ed. Still can’t beat LSU or Bama.

You must be 12 or willfully ignorant.

It wasn't so long ago that the East owned the West, especially in Atlanta. These things are cyclical in nature; right now, the West is on top. Let's see where things are in a another decade.

Wut???

The last 20 years.

East 6 wins
West 14 wins

Last 10 years, 1 win for the East!

It’s refreshing to see a Bama fan admit the obvious that Saban’s Dynasty is done for another three years, with inferior coaching at OC & DC positions —

let’s have a peek at some of your Quotes in the Gump Meltdown Room — I’m checking your certificates of authenticity

quote: This is the most pathetic coaching we have had (BamaWins15 on the coaching)

BamaWins15, you know you’re screwed from 2020 - 2022 at least. What do you think of the preseason rankings with the Gumps third?

We’re laughing too hard looking for good odds to win the SEC for LSU.

quote: Tua is over rated. He has made ONE SIGNIFICANT pass in 3 years. (BamaWins15 on Tua)

quote: Got to think that the recruits are thinking that they don’t want any of this smoke. He looked he was about to cry (BamaWins15 on Recruits watching Bama get smoked)

So disheartening to read these Total Melts — We feel your pain

So BamaWins15, explain how Bama is now ranked #3 in preseason and they are picking them to make another Title run when Saban is well beyond “PAST IT” at 69 this Fall and still suffering complications from 2019 April Hip Surgery — You can see Little Baw suffering with that bad right hip. Gotta be on some serious meds for pain.

You think this is Nicks last year? Who you like to replace him?

Take your time to ponder over the questions

Not sure about this.

East:
Uga
Uf

West
Ala
LSU
Aub

I still Think Alabama has too many chips in place.

Uf is gaining steam.

LSU needs to keep coordinators.
The new coordinator worries me more than anything; I hope the players are ready.

Total loss of spring ball and unofficial offseason workouts is gonna hurt everyone, but we're also trying to put a new defense in. I think Pelini compensates by simplifying the schemes and relying on individual talent. We have that at lots of spots.

Offense could actually be better coached this year... we're going from Ensminger (new to this) and a low level assistant calling the game, to Ensminger (with a year in the system) and a former NFL HC doing it. If the other guy is a spotter, you gotta think Linehan is going to see things quicker than Brady. He's been at levels Brady has yet to see in real life. Linehan's offenses in Detroit were great, so he knows a passing game. The problem is, everyone has to get along. Let's hope that continues like it did last year.

Take Burrow out of the equation and LSU is third in the West this season. And they’ll be third next.

And when UGA loses to LSU or Alabama AGAIN, it will 41 years since Georgia's NC.

E can’t help but get along as he’s so humble and Linehan has got to know you don’t fark with it if it aint Broke — Expecting his 3rd down success in playcalling to Top that of Brady!

Brady went 91/183 on third down (50%)

I think we’ll see closer to 60% this year as Myles has an amazing low bullet pass on possession downs to move the chains

You don't think Ed O doesn't know the formula for beating bama? It's not running a one dimensional offense.the days of bama shutting down an LSU offense are over. Ed has built a team and will continue to recruit players and run offensive schemes that will score points against any defense.Sure bama will win some but it will be by outscoring LSU in games like 42-35 or 40 -33 etc

Yeah, hope so.

Note- I'm not expecting better PERFORMANCE, that would be highly unrealistic. I just think swapping Brady for Linehan, you should get a better structure, and I think Linehan might have a little more situational awareness just from experience.
I think Brady learned a lot of the functional aspects of coordinating from Ensminger last year, and Linehan already has that down pat.

That's why I think it might be better coaching going downstream to the players. Not schemes, but maybe some exercises and drills, maybe some techniques he's seen. Remember he coached Megatron, if he can share anything with Chase and Marshall that would be great.

Hmm, we knew Randy Moss' kid was there last year, and occasionally he was around. I wonder if he did anything informally with the WRs, even a casual session or two.

Biggest issue Bama faces is the pressure to win it all next year. If they don’t hoist the trophy in 2021 no recruit would have been in high school when they last won it all.

They still have the talent and coaching to win, but the room at the top echelon is more crowded.

Except Georgia cannot beat LSU.
So it's LSU on top.
